Pizzaman81 Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Perhaps I never realized this before but this is kind of messed up. Last night I was at a local Chinese gathering at this person's house. There were these 2 Chinese women in their 30s maybe. They have their Caucasian boyfriends there, probably older maybe in their late 30s or mid 40s. They were very nice people. Everyone was speaking Mandarin and I felt bad for those that did not understand so I started talking with them. And then it happened... these two women were gossiping and about "Oh i'm just settling for the white guys for now, until I can find a good Asian man. Those white guys are only nice to you for the first 2 months. Asian guys are either really nice to you all the way through, or mean to you all the way through..." I seriously wanted to punch them in their faces. It was extremely disrespectful... these are good men who most likely legitimately love their gfs. I had to interrupt everyone and ask them to speak English so we can all converse.
tami-chan Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Oh wow....that is totally disrespectful...do you think maybe they said because they were amongst Asians? Maybe they thought that people will give them "attitude" for being with white guys?
xpaperxcutx Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Not surprising. Most asian women I know does this. It's like the good guy vs bad guy motive: they can have fun with the white guy, hispanic guy, even the black guy, but when they want to settle down, they would want an asian guy (stereotypically one with no backbone).

I never knew we had that stereotype That's why this one girl told me "You are very upfront and assertive for an Asian guy" It all makes sense now. "Well what can I say, step aside, make way to the dance floor!"
Hot Carl Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Maybe it was rude, but on the other hand they were being honest. Is it worse for them to say it, or to not say it but think it? This way the information about what kind of women they really are is now out and available to the world. As opposed to hidden in their dark little hearts.

xpaperxcutx Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Wait what's the average? 6, I believe for an average male.
Author Pizzaman81 Posted December 21, 2009 Author Posted December 21, 2009 6, I believe for an average male. Yes! Great Success!

jerbear Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 You guys are funny but it is some truth in their conversation about guys. If the girls don't like them why are they wasting their BF's time. Really disgusting. If the guys heard what they said, they would be upset. This kind of stuff happens all the time in groups of people, I get the "huh" when some friends are talking in Tagalog or sometimes Portuguese. After awhile someone would say something similar to what you said about speaking in English so everyone understands.
SoulSearch_CO Posted December 21, 2009 Posted December 21, 2009 Yes! Great Success! LMFAO! Good job, Pizzaman!
