I was seeing aguy not to long into our relatioship I found out I was pregnant. we kept seeing each other until this past week and I am almost 5 months pregnant. He told me he loved me cared about me and all that good stuff. We had a great time together in and out of bedroom. He lives about 2 hours from me. He decide to "come clean" with me and said he just didn't want to hurt me all these months, found out the sex of our baby I told him and then he decided he did not wanna be around. He has not even told his mom about the baby. I think she has the right to know she is going to be a grandmother. He will not respond to me anymore for the last 2 days. Any advise on how I should I handle this ?

Speak to an attorney about what you need to do to make sure you get child support. He may not want to be a father, but your child is entitled to financial support.

If you think his mother will convince him to want this child....well, you're better off focusing on yourself and the support you have in your own life from your family and friends. You will need it to be a single mother.

If you've decided to keep the baby--and is seems you have--just make sure he pays child support. And get a court order. You cannot make him be a good father, but you can at least make him help support his child. Don't be one of those foolish women who risks letting their kid go without just to prove what a great mother they can be, or not to piss off the father. Put the kid first.

I'm so sorry you are going through this. It amazes me how these men think the child is not their problem. They are as much responsible as the woman.

First, I think you should breath, focus on baby and you and the fact that this man will not be there for the baby or you. He will be back and you need to remember that if you just graciously allow him back into your life this will be repetitive. He will expect to come in and out of your life and the childs life as he sees fit. Don't allow this. Set up walls and barriers now. I feel so sorry for you. I was preggars as well, read past threads about me. The grandmother does have a right to know. Feel free to tell her.
