sam light Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 Sundays I'm up, showered, and walking to the local convenience store by 6 AM. I love the quiet, peaceful 1 mile walk in the fresh air. My suburban home is a few park-like blocks from the town's little commercial center. 3 weeks ago there was an absolutely beautiful woman (Mary Steenburgen crossed with Kate Beckinsale) sitting on a bench at roughly 6:30 AM. She had spike heeled boots and tight fitting black clothes. She wore a long dark coat over her shoulders (like a cape), STUNNING. I reached a point where I could walk my usual route down the opposite side, or cross to her side. As if to encourage me, she stood up and removed coat from her shoulders and put it on regular style. (this gave me a glimpse of her amazing body) she looked at me the entire time. I crossed to her side. This a quiet street in a very nice town, but I was wary of the luck in finding a decked-out stunner at 6:30 Sunday morning. I was quite drawn to her and afraid at the same time. I'm no smooth talkin charmer, but I can usually muster up at least "hello, nice day", but my mixed feelings left me speechless a few feet away. She stepped up to me and offered a slight smile. If I knew her at all or if this was the end of a date, I'd swear it was time to kiss. An eternity of seconds she grew confident as I just stood there like a dope. She lifted one eyebrow Mr. Spock style as I did the dumbest move ever. I offered her a saltine from my grocery bag. She laughed and sat down, so did I. We snacked for a couple of minutes. She made no attempt to answer my small talk. A restored 1970's Monte Carlo pulled up. I couldn't much see the driver, there was a cool looking long haired (grey) old dude in the passenger side. He looked at me with a twinkle in his eye then spoke to her in a foreign language. Like German, but softer. She smiled and answered in the same tongue. She pronounced "saltine" with a heavy accent and flicked one in his direction. A great shot, it sailed to him, he gracefully caught it, a great catch. Cool car, cool old dude, and a cool beautiful woman. She kissed my forehead and got in the car. off they went into the sunrise. No sign of her the next week, but she was there last Sunday.
xpaperxcutx Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 And she'd remember you as the guy who offered her a "saltine". Hey, at least she remembers.
whysohard Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 this would be a great opening scene of a movie, the woman, the car, the accent and old dude, perfect. i love it when weird things like this happens in life, it keeps us alive.
