Author Gunny376 Posted December 19, 2009 Author Posted December 19, 2009 I recently watch a show on CMT about a Marine Staff Sergeant who lost his leg in Iraq. He came back home. The DW hung around long enough for him to get on his "feet" and then left him with three small children in a old farm house that would be a hazard for someone with two good legs. He's medically retired and has a prosthetic leg that he still runs PT (Physical Training) on. Divorce lawyers at major military bases at making a killing.
Ilovehimbut Posted December 19, 2009 Posted December 19, 2009 (edited) First off, THANK YOU for your service - I appreciate it more than you will ever know! I have a question that maybe you can answer for me? My father is a Vietnam vet, and I have a profound sense of patriotism because of that. Anyway, I would like to have my children (9 & 13) do something for the current people in the military and/or vets. for the holidays. I was wondering if you have any ideas as to what I could have them do or who I would contact to find out what they (and myself) could do to help the men/women in uniform? Again, THANK YOU!
