I need some dude friends to go the bar with etc. I'm stuck right now because I have no friends to go to the bar with to meet chicks, and I don't want to go to a bar alone (pathetic looking). The couple friends I have are lame losers.

How do I make dude friends and get their phone numbers without sounding like a fruitcake? Honestly it may sound like a basic question, but I'm socially awkward and really have no clue how to go about this. I don't want these guys to think I'm a h0mo or something. I just need some dude friends to hang out with to pick up the ladies!!

Well here is a "Cool story bro!" moment,

I have a good friend that is a host for Trivia at a Buffalo Wild Wings. He had been bugging me for a while to just come on over and hang out and play by myself. I was reluctant for a long time 'cause I figured it would look pretty pathetic to sit there with my trivia sheet all alone while everyone was having a grand time in their own 5-20 person groups.

Anyway, I decided, what the hell, I'll go. So I went and sat there by myself feeling kinda wierd, but I actually go over it quickly. There was a really big group of about 15 people that sat close by and I noticed them noticing me a few times. Later on they asked me how I was doing at trivia and I told them not well, but I am gunning for last place.

I had some fun, and BS'd with my buddy for a while after it was over. And the next week I decided to go again. This time some people from that same group were making more conversation with me and realized these people are pretty cool. At the end of the night, a bunch of the ladies and a couple of the dudes were over at my table and we were all talking and they finally asked me to join their team the next week.

So every Wednesday now, I go and play trivia with my new group of friends that I have made there, (and I have a feeling a couple of the ladies fancy me, but I don't want to get ahead of myself) and I actually look forward to it all week, just having some fun people to hang out with.

I guess my advice would be, and it comes from personal experience, is see if there is any bars around that offer a trivia night and go there, even by yourself. It may feel wierd at first, but I noticed a couple others playing by themselves too. If any other place is like this place, they have the same people showing up every week, and if you go consistently, you will end up eventually getting to know them.
