Those of you complaining about not getting gifts, not getting good enough gifts, the ONLY holiday I ever experience with a girlfriend, I got dumped on the spot for someone else. Valentines day. Don't take for granted what you have.

I remember the last time I spend Christmas with an SO was two years ago. It wasn't anything significant, we were company to help each other past the time. Sex was great, but otherwise, there's nothing really that I miss.

Granted I didn't have a lot of interest in NYE because it's become a big couples night. I just put silver linings on the dark clouds... I don't have to go to anyone's parents or shuffle around homes on the holiday.I don't have to be pressured to "find something good to do" on NYE and come up with the money for it. Most places have a $100 cover.Less gifts to buy, so more money in my pocket.More time for me...because I'm not being dragged off to holiday events and parties.No pressure to "get the gift right" for her. Believe me, I see more people bitch and gripe about their RLs now than praise it. Guys who wish they didn't have to spend the cash on the big NYE event, some who wish they were single so they could check out some other women. Women who complain how he didn't do this or buy her that and even some shallow ones who bitch how he didn't spend enough money on her. I'm not knocking my own RL...but there are silver linings to being single if you seek them out.

Get together with your close friends and family, the ones who actually care about YOU and enjoy your holiday. You will eventually meet someone to share these times with....Hang tough!

The holidays are about sharing your love without it your just watching others exchange there effection. Who cares about money. I wish I could spend my money on someone. O well. Go take a few shots. Don't take for granted what you have. Well sucks for you... I've never had a boyfriend for Valentine's or New Year's now that I think of it. All the boyfriends I had I either broke up with right before Christmas or got together with them after Valentine's day. Personally though I'm just looking forward to Valentine's Day this year. Well and New Years so I'll have someone to kiss at midnight.
