Men's natural role is as a provider...

As a small example, women are COMPLETELY turned off by a man who asks to go DUTCH on a first date. Similarly, men enjoy paying..(For the right woman, not the hypocritical one that boasts equality but hates paying half)

This is not true. I know lots of women who would prefer to pay on the first date. This way the man can't expect anything. I know women who will pay for the first date.

I have dated plenty of women who earn good money and always view that money as THEIR money. They also did not believe in playing the old fashioned woman role. So I was stuck paying and still had to cook for her and myself.

Really? Why would someone who views women's roles the way you do chose to date women (not just one) who earn good money and don't believe in an 'old fashioned womans role'? It would seem that someone like you would screen your dates to make sure they didn't earn much and couldn't wait to settle down and be someone's SAHMW. I find it odd that you would be attracted to this type of woman in the first place. Or maybe you are but can't get this type to conform, hmmmmm.

Women these days are very conflicted as their biological side is caring, nurturing, and wants to be taken care of.. But present society tells them to work, earn their own money, and try to "be equal".

I don't think society tells women this as much as opportunity and good common sense. Believe it or not we can think for ourselves. We can have careers and still be caring and nurturing to not just our spouses and families, but to our community as well. BTW, women aren't the only sex who can benefit from being caring and nurturing. That should apply to everyone.

During the past few decades we have seen depression rates skyrocket for women, but not for men. Divorce rates have risen, as well as the rate of single moms..More and more women will end up with cats as opposed to a loving family..

Everyone (including men) are on antidepressants and such. Even kids are on them these days. Maybe some women have decided to become a single mom because they didn't want to marry but thank God they have the money to support a child so it doesn't come out of my pocket. BTW, some people view their cats as family.:)

Most evidence points towards women doing too much that they cannot handle, and still remain mentally stable. All I am sugesting is a way for everyone to have more time and return to a simpler, physically and more mentally healthy life.

Says who???

I believe a woman who had a loving family of her own, and who spent her life raising kids and taking care of her one loving husband will look back far more favorably on her life when she is on her deathbed, than the woman who worked and made top sales lady/best accountant while having tons of 3 month relationships, and was able to merely pay her own way.

What??? You are under the assumption that everyone in life wants the same thing.

Or the woman who had kids, but worked 50 weeks out of the year unneccesarily just because she could, while missing her kids growing up. Everyone in that family would have been done a disservice, herself included..

Why aren't you married with kids and supporting a wife?

Anyone who has health and isn't mentally challenged or just plain nuts, can create wealth.

So, I also elect health but not in the way suggested by the OP. It doesn't matter who cooks and cleans, as long as it's done in a healthy fashion.

Everyone's health should be taken into consideration within a family unit. There's absolutely zero reason why one of the family unit must do the cooking or cleaning. Just hire trustworthy domestic help to take care of all the drudge-work and everyone's needs can be met, without stress or limitations to lives.

I cannot fathom why hairshirt sacrifice MUST happen.

I agree that it's a good idea (if a couple can afford it) for the mother to stay home for the first 4-5 years.. until the children go to school.

My daughter took a leave without pay for 5 years... to be home with the 2 babies.. her bf is home too with her (he took her maternity leave.. 9 months).

But she now got a contract for about 14 hours a week.. which gives her $840/wk... her bf is home with the kids on those days..

She is an amazing mother..
