I've gotten very little sleep these last four days as I've been busy. I'm exhausted. I had to go home and take a nap during my lunch break. <yawn> Maybe I can squeeze in another one here at work.... I'm afraid I'm going to be a bit of a drag tonight. Would it be better to tell my date that I'm really tired (he knows I've been super busy), or maybe I can brainwash my self into thinking I'm not tired?

I'm hoping I'll snap out of this as I'm chatting about it.... yes, that's what I need to do. I was actually kinda serious about brainwashing myself into thinking I'm not tired. With all the classes I take, I've been taught that if you take a nagging thought, such as "I'm tired" and address that it will go away. So I'm tired, right? Now I need to acknowledge that: I'M TIRED!!!! lol... (I seriously just gave a big sigh after that.) Now the next thing is to change my course. I can choose what I'm going to do with this tiredness. And I choose to ignore it. Four hours of sleep for the past four days is minimal sleep for me, but I've not been deprived, right? I think the next step is choosing exactly how I'm going to be tonight. So lemme think about that one. .... can somebody still send me an energy transfer though? Thanks.
Yukikazi Posted December 14, 2009 Posted December 14, 2009 Go google power naps.. there is actually a specific amount of time that you can nap to awake refreshed rather then groggy. Also.. Red Bull is your friend...

I knew I was going to be tired after this last weekend but I was thinking, "Sure! Why not?!" It was all in the name of getting back in the game and opening myself up again to dating. So it was a big step. I'm sorta thinking I'm tired only because I know I have a date tonight...... but then I really am sleep deprived, sorta. I know a lot of people live off of four hours of sleep regularly. shivers. Couldn't do it. So, I'm going to decide to be awake, take a energy shot, a power nap........... and probably end the night early. It'll be fun tonight, really. So I'll start thinking of that. I met this guy over the weekend. He started talking to me at a seminar that I was assisting at. I thought it was pretty gutsy for him to walk over where I was at and start up a conversation. I find him attractive. Too bad he's only visiting this area. He lives some 3 hours away. But, oh well, that's why I accepted. I only wonder why he would ask someone out on a date if he doesn't even live here? lol. I guess both of us are just on a Dating Lite plan. No worries. I'll behave.

Step 3: Stop "decide to be awake." Take a nap before energy shot kicks in. Step 4: Decide to be awake. Step 5: Date ........better?

That's the energy I'm missing.... my inner cheerleader is still sleeping. Thanks for posting! ....I'm actually looking forward to the date after this change of attitude this afternoon that I've had.
