I met a girl online about a week ago and I'm starting to like her very much, perhaps even too much. She lives about an hour away from me and is pretty busy being a single mom and working/going to school, so we haven't had a chance to hang out yet (remember its only been a week). We spoke on the phone for the first time last Friday for about 2 hours. I feel that the conversation went pretty well overall and at the end she told me to call her again when I was free.

Well, today I was free but instead of calling her I text her to say hello because I didn't want to catch her in the middle of doing something. After texting hello I asked if she was available to talk and she said that she wasn't and that was the end of the exchange. Her responses were unusually short and less flirty also. Now my first question is, does this appear weak when you have someone texting you asking you if you're available to talk? Should I of just called her in the first place? Next is the ball now in her court to contact me (text/phone) since I was the last person to initiate contact even though we didn't actually talk? I don't want to come on too strong and flood her with messages because I personally can't stand that. Would calling her tonight be a mistake? Is she expecting me to call her again? Also, the phone works two ways so couldn't she call me when she became available if she really wanted to talk? I'm trying not to take these things personal but I don't know what to think. See what I mean by liking her too much, I'm analyzing this situation to death. I wish I could just relax and wait for her to come to me.

I think she is somewhat interested but I would suggest that you give it a couple days and then give her a call. That way she will be glad to hear form you.
