Printer Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Having been seperated from my wife for nearly one year, we were talking today, we have a 13 year old son, and she said that we could not reconcile our 17 year marriage because I haven't changed. Then she says that she has changed!! Now, what is a female's definition of change, cos I really don't know what she expects? Is it looks? Is it how I talk? Is it what I wear? Is it what I do? Is it ............... ............... I really don't think they know the answer themselves. I have tried asking but get the usual answer " It's the way you are". What does that mean exactly? I am really confused about the word CHANGE. It has so many meanings!!!
LovelyDaze Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Only one way...ask her to be more specific. Being that you guys have a son, then you must talk some of the time. Ask her what she means by that you haven't changed. In the end,it doesn't matter...she no longer wants to be in the marriage anymore. Even if you know the kind of change she is talking about and actually do that for her, she would just find another reason why she wants out.
ADF Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 When women demand change from men, they almost always mean a change in behavior. That you would ask this makes me think your wife is probably right, at least for now.

Her feelings have changed as in she has feelings for someone else. Is she still keeping him hidden? Be done with her. Quit pining for her, it makes you look weak in her eyes. Get on with your life. It's time, yes?
GrayClouds Posted December 13, 2009 Posted December 13, 2009 Have you asked her specifics? If she can not or will not give it then the change she means it she want you to be a different man.
