Maybe I'm old fashioned, but why are so many women adverse to wearing dresses these days? To me, there is nothing sexier than a woman who wears a dress or a skirt. Even a woman who is a little overweight seems more attractive in a dress. Sure, jeans and slacks accentuate a woman's figure, but a nice dress is sooooooo SEXY!!! It just plain turns me on!

Most women don't dress for men. We don't really care if it turns you on or not.

Dresses are not appropriate for all or even most occasions.

Dresses/skirts are f'n cold in the winter.

Dresses/skirts often require the wearing of nylons/stockings, especially in the winter or workplace - talk about uncomfortable. And expensive.

If stores aren't selling casual dresses, women can't go around wearing dresses can they?

I love wearing dresses - I find they fit my figure a lot better then jeans and a T-shirt and I actually find them very comfortable. But, alas, dress and winter don't mix.

Also, New Again is right: good dresses are hard to find. Stores bring some out in the summer, but not many in the winter. And a lot of these dresses are flimsy uncomfortable little affairs.

As for nylons and stocking... Winner's has some really good ones.

I love dresses and wear them most of the time. I do it for me though, not for others: I always feel good in a dress or a skirt. Some other women prefer jeans and tees.

Ditto...but as Kamille pointed out, they're hard to find a lot of the time.

It's a store. It might be just Canadian. It sells discounted clothes, some of them brand names. For Nylons, they carry a brand called Hue, which I've always liked.

I think Winners is kind of like Target (although I've never been to a Target).

While in the States I bought a bunch of Nylon's at Macy's. Loved the selection.

Wait a second... I just realized I have a thing for stockings. I especially love the ones with weaving in them.

My solution to the poor state of dress shopping has been to buy lots of skirts. The great thing about skirts is that they're very versatile.

I'm surprised you find it difficult to get Winter dresses - they're so popular here in England (mind you our weather is always Wintry so I guess the designers have to keep that in mind when designing their dresses for wear in England!)

And I live in Canada! You would think they would have a good selection... Although, seriously, our winters are so cold, windy, snowy and slushy that I'm generally not into wearing a dress in the winter. (And, I live in Toronto, one of the warmest canadian cities).

Oh you said it alright.:love::bunny:

I am weak and submissive to the sight of a dress or skirt on that special someone in my life. The sight of smooth silky sexy legs is out of this world sexy.:bunny:

Thanks for the heads up...we don't have Winners, but I can check out Macy's or Target. I like stockings with patterns, but then it's even more sad when they get runs in them.

I love dresses and would wear them everyday, but life isn't always a debutant ball. Plus, I also love being active. This can make your skirt fly up and many men can't be counted on to behave maturely when that happens. Sometimes thay can't behave even when you're wearing jeans.

So if men would like women to wear more dresses, they're going to need to stop acting foolish when life's activities expose a lady's undies now and then.
