immigrants from china, hk more successful than white ppl and canadianzed asian???

my dad who is chinese-says this -----you think its true immigrants from hong kong , china who come to canada are doing a lot better career wise, successful money wise than the canadian white ppl and also the canadian chinese/asian ppl. the ones esp from china work harder, study harder and have goals while the canadian white and canadianzed asian ppl just want to party and have fun and drink and smoke and party. most of the street ppl on the street are white.

 

i want to hear your opinions on it.

 

this is coming from my dad who is a chinese guy whos lived in canada since he was 14, but still had judgements on canadian white ppl and even sometimes on canadianzed asian ppl-as how canadian lifestyle is not good and the government somehow spoils ppl-with welfare and taxing the rich and giving the money to the poor. he also thinks theres not need for transit as everyone these days has a car, and no one really takes the skytrain and hows its a waste of government money.

 

he also said how the guy working at the bank from HK is doing a lot better than the white guy at the front and how us canadianzed asians should have more goals in life. and how a immigrant who cant even speak good english can have a better job than us canadianized asians and even better than white ppl too. he said why "b/c the ppl from hk and china have goals and work hard while the white ppl and canadianzed asian ppl just want to have fun(relax, take life easy, go out and drink, smoke) lol ya and i have a japanese gf before who did smoke and drink like crazy, but he doesnt believe. he thinks they all work hard and smart and can invent things, while american have a lot of ideas but never use them.

 

i have a diploma in IT, but jobs are all mainly through networking and who you know and not what you have.
