daddypop1 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I havent been on here in awhile cuz my ex shut off all the cable services. Anyway, I have my temporary hearing coming up on Friday. I have a lawyer now and she just got one as well. Our oldest daughter wants to live with me. She is legally not mine. Before I filed for divorce my ex said that I could keep her and she would take her in the summer. Now she is saying she wants her to live with her and is going to make her switch schools. I know it is about the child support she gets from her biological father and she doesnt want to pay me as well. My ex and her lawyer sent me an offer that she would get the other 2 children 3 weekends a month and pay me about 270 in child support, she keeps the car , etc. My daughter knows what her mom does for a living (stripper) and that she has been getting large sums of money sent to her from western union from men, along with other guys giving her money. I am never going to see my daughter anymore if this happens. Her mom is making her switch schools and she will be home alone every night. She will also only see her siblings on the weekends. What can I do if anything?
Shaded1 Posted December 9, 2009 Posted December 9, 2009 I don't think you can fight with mother for custody if daughter is not legally yours too. You could possibly show that you may provide a better home environment than mother but whole thing is a longshot You did not say how old daughter is and that would have bearing on it as well. Only way I think it will work is if mother will voluntarily let her stay with you Good luck
Author daddypop1 Posted December 9, 2009 Author Posted December 9, 2009 My daughter is 13. She has said that she will call social services and tell them how she feels and what she thinks of her mom. Im not really sure if that would matter or not.
