Guys, is good-natured verbal sparring with a girl a turn-on?

You know how with some people you get into the verbal sparring. I'm talking about the good-natured, fun type.

(am not talking about the aggressive "I must prove a point" type.)

It seems very much like flirting from my side. Do guys generally feel this way as well?

Yes we do and yes it is.

An intelligent woman that can hold her own in a conversation and even put the man on his toes is very sexy.

This is all very good to hear.

I'm having a lot of fun with this guy. We've known each other casually for a while, have had a bit of an attraction and have recently begun this fun kind of back and forth poking at each other and keeping each other on our toes, which I like as well.

I'd kind of like to shake things up a little. Disarm him a bit. Change of pace.

Any suggestions?

Not enough info to make suggestions

Just continue what you are doing unless you want to go further.. if so then start touching him more and he should either get the picture or you will realize things are not as relationship ready as they may seem.

K. I'll just go with the flow. Thanks.

I assume that means he is in the friendzone and you don't have any intention of letting him out?

But are curious as to how far things could proceed before you need to pull the reigns?

No, not at all. Am open to whatever but just going with the flow. We've only started interacting recently.

Yukikazi,

Your question raises a question for me. How quickly do guys need to know they can "get in" before they think the interaction is a waste of time?

I've never been a rushing into relationships type of person but it seems I don't move fast enough for guys sometimes.

Ah.. well then good luck and enjoy the relationship.. when it develops it develops.. Just be sure you know if he is too shy to make the first move and you have to do it for him.

Meh, I could go either way on this one. witty repartees are fine as long as it's not all.the.effin.time, in which case I'd rather find a mellow girl that likes silently chilling on the couch just as much.

No because if you say one wrong thing they will be mad at you a decade later for it.

sparring is fun... do you know why he hasn't asked you out?

I've had a lot of these type 'friendships' with men. They never ask you out. You end up getting drunk and getting together, or you have a vulnerable moment and they make a move....just my experience.

It only progresses when you get beyond the banter and onto genuine friendship, and more importantly, intimacy....I like men a lot for this type of friendship, but they hardly ever take you seriously and see you as 'one of the boys', which is fine...I get the ones I really want, (I know they secretly fancy me though :)

Yes it is a turn on. Absolutely, I love a girl that can throw back what I dish out. However, it could be that the guy either isn't interested and considers you one of the boys or is just too shy to make a move. Trust me, I've been oh both sides before when I was younger.

Do you live in a Laural and Hardy film or something Woggle?.

It's that arcane way you have of seeing women....very cartooney..dated...
