The last time I posted it was about googling a guys screen name. Here is the link below.

http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t212428/

So, i have continued to chat with him online despite what I saw online. I decided I shouldn't judge him from things I see online, but maybe at least meet him a few times to get to know him. I didn't directly bring the matter up, but he did tell me something that scares me even more. I think its time to say goodbye to him and forget meeting.

He told me that more than once, non straight men have hit on him in public? why would that happen? is it common for gay men to hit on straight men? do you think he is giving off some kind of vibe, and they are thinking he is gay?

oh dear, i'm seriously about to just forget talking to him. I really have a great time talking to him, but i don't want to date some bi curious guy or maybe he is in the closet about his sexuality. Please give me your opinions this.

Do you know for sure that the links that come up in google when you google his screen name are him ?

It would really suck if you have painted him gay and here the whole time it was a mistaken id..

The internet is a big place...

Personally.. I feel like you ought to just ask him.. tell him you googled his screen name and he might want to look at what pops up in google..

Ask him..

By the way.. what happens if you goggle your own screen name ?.. does it only show items that truly pertain to you only ?

Guy guys hit on stright guy all the time, though usually not on purpose. How are they supposed to know you're straight? Particularly if you are in a mixed environment like club, some bars, etc. It is usually an honest mistake and means nothing.

Well do you not think he could be giving off some kind of vibe, or I wonder if he looks gay or acts like it? I mean I saw his pictures, it looked ok to me. he said they hit on him at a fast food place not a club or bar. Well one incident was at restaurant. I don't know about the other. Also, do gay men not seem more feminine and all?

I think they would probably send off a vibe. Of course they're not always more feminine--my ex certainly wasn't. And I think I'd give this guy the pass.

Honestly I wonder why, in this open day and age, gay men still try to date women but they do. After my stbxh left me a year ago, I dated a little bit (trying to piece my battered self esteem back together) and figured I couldn't get fooled again b/c I figured that 50 yo gay men wouldn't be trying to date women, but I was wrong. I went out with a man a few times and had started to like him, but on the 4th date, he admitted that he was mostly gay and hinted that he'd like a FWB relationship with me anyway, and from some other things he said, I had the impression that he wanted to marry a woman but go out with men on the side. Also, it sounded like he was looking for a woman with money to help him pay off some debts. I decided I wasn't ready to date yet. Uh.

Anyway, isn't that why you googled him? Trust your instincts.

My roomie is straight but on Halloween he got hit on by guys and had about 5 numbers offered to him. He isn't gay and he hates getting hit on by guys..

We haven't figured out what gay vibe he could be putting off yet...

Oh and gay guys do consider it a conquest challenge to get a straight guy to submit to their attentions.. Thats their game
