Lost-n-confused Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 My gym partner just hired this new girl at the GNC he manages. She was kinda interest in him but he is in a 5 year relationship. So he started to tell her about me, and she became intrigued. My friend described her as a Hispanic girl with a cute face and a nice body. She not to long ago got out of a long relationship and is looking for someone new but nothing serious. My friend thinks we would make a good match. So friday night I'm going bowling with my friend and she is showing up to meet me. My first blind date how exciting.

I've only ever been on one blind date and it was sooo bad (the guy - terminally boring) and recently had an attempted set-up, but it turns out I know the guy and can't stand him.

I live in South Florida and they are everywhere. I find something sexy about a Latina. Could be that I just grew up around them, went to school with them. Most people think I'm Hispanic. I think I have only ever liked two white girls in my life.

She lives about 30 minutes away from me and that's doing about 80 mph on the highway. So her sister is dropping her off at the bowling ally which is about 10 minutes from my house. I asked my friend how is she going to get home? He give me this look. I say "O I see your planning on me taking her home if we hit it off". He said otherwise hes going to take her home. It just gets worse after that.... So my friend drives her to work everyday. He is the freaking store manage and the one who hired her. His girlfriend doesn't even know and if she did she would freak out. I ask my friend if this is a "Pig in a poke" and he was slightly offended. He wouldn't waste my time with an unattractive girl. In fact she must be very attractive in order for him to drive her to work everyday. I have no idea what to take of this but its not good. If we hit it off and we started dating just driving to and from her place will cost me (30min x 80mph = 40 mile / 20 mpg highway = 2 gal x $2.80 gal = $5.40) $5.40 one way and $10.80 both ways. If I ever wanted to get to cook her dinner at my place It would cost me $21.60 in gas to drive back and forth. Well I haven't met her yet, kinda of hope there is nothing and now I am mentally blocked anyways.

If the attraction and chemistry is there, I say you'd be a complete fool to get hung up on the distance. But whatever floats your boat, LNC. With that attitude, I can see your dating future will be very bleak.

Author Lost-n-confused Posted December 10, 2009 Author Posted December 10, 2009 I make about $212 a week and have a weekly expense close to $200. What ever money I have goes towards gas. I live with my parents and eat their food. Other then that I pay all my own bills. Gas mileage on an 03 mustang GT isn't great either. So can't afford to take her out. I'm still paying off the credit card bills from my last two dates and that didn't working out. Guess my dates will be taking my parents food and eating it in the park or parking behind the fence at the drive in movies and siting on the roof of my car. The money that I have coming in I need to spend on other things. I need to rent a plane next week that will cost me about 80 bucks. Even if things work out friday I'm not taking her on the plane as a first date even if out schedules match.
