ant0255 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I'll make this quick, my ex girlfriend and I broke up about 6 months due to her having been in an abusive relationship prior to me. She needed time for self discovery. Any way the only contact we had was at the gym and ocaisionaly on the weekends since she is good friends with my best friend Jess. We would have small talk, the basics, how are you doing?, how things goin? and the like. Well recently she has been more communicative towards me, ie; calling me and texting me, suggesting we should do things together, we even hung out one day and watched a movie to which she ended up laying across my lap and falling asleep. I try not to read to much into something like this, but its hard not to sometimes. On another occaision her and her friend picked me up at late on a saturday night so that i could drive her car, she was out drinking and did not want to leave it. I figured I was gonna drive her car and then her friend would give me a ride home. Um, i ended up staying with my ex, she said we could take the bed or the couch, I said I would take the couch. She grabs a blanket and proceeds to use me as a pillow, she also grabs and holds my hand. Once again i'm trying not to think into to much, but im starting to wonder if she is showings signs of interest again. Our break up was mutual and I do still love her after all these months and after dating other woman, its not the same. I would like some of your opinions, my friend jess said to go with the flow, but at some point do I ask the question of "do you want to get back together."
DenverBachelor Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I'm not sure why your story touched me so much, but it reminded me of my first love. I'm also listening to early 90's R&B, so I'm feeling a bit nostalgic. What I will tell you is this -- we broke up and were apart for quite a while (a year or year and a half). It was quite a while ago, but we remained in contact, and I remember one day that I went up to her parents and she was getting ready to leave for Long Island and we were just playing around and I was trying to hit her lightly on the stomach and I remember she grabbed my hand, looked in my eyes and said, "I love you." So yes, anything is possible. Geesh, thanks -- now I'm missing her on top of my most recent Ex. This is a course for disaster.
HeavenOrHell Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 It sounds like there is hope there, so it depends on whether you want to just see how things go, I would be inclined to do that. She may feel a bit pressured if you raise the subject, she may not even know herself what she wants. But if you really need to know then you're going to have to ask her. I cant do this with my ex as I worry it will push him away. I'll make this quick, my ex girlfriend and I broke up about 6 months due to her having been in an abusive relationship prior to me.
