New Again Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 (edited) this thread gives people opportunities to drill the dude over his writing. if its not perfect from the get go, you start commenting cause maybe you can't find nothing else to run your mouth about, besides his topless issue. hahaha. realistically his grammar, is not bad enough to keep women from getting to know him. I've seen way worse than that. IF they have grammar issues, inform them in a tactful way at least lol Oh and New Again, yours was the only one that seemed awfully rude. That's why I pointed it out Nope, I offered a **** ton of constructive criticism above and beyond grammar. Being straightforward and honest does not make me rude. And I've said this in another thread, but I suppose it bears repeating. First dates are like interviews. No one is going to give you an interview when your resume is riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, and otherwise looks careless and sloppy. If you choose to date online, it's a fact you have to face: many people's first impression is based on written material. Sucks, man. Edited December 8, 2009 by New Again

Sucks, man. telling someone they need to write like an educated person is low down. that's not nice did anyone else say that? i went back and read it again. i see what you mean, but its still not as bad as people are making it out to be lol. hey, whatever floats your boat
New Again Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 telling someone they need to write like an educated person is low down. that's not nice did anyone else say that? i went back and read it again. i see what you mean, but its still not as bad as people are making it out to be lol. hey, whatever floats your boat Education is free and compulsory in this country...therefore I consider everyone to be somewhat educated - in no way was I calling the OP dumb. I am aware that everyone has different strengths and not everyone has an easy time with spelling and grammar. My dad is a terrible speller and he's one of the smartest people I know. However, there are tools built into the internet and into word processing programs to assist people who need help in those areas....so my point about interviews and grammar and all that still stands.
dreamergrl Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 My vote is for full frontal. Might as well stand out. Pervert I think the fact that he keeps referring back himself is his biggest downfall. Grammar is important, but not as important as not being stuck on himself.
Author Lost-n-confused Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 I messaged a girl before I went to the gym about 2 hours ago and she responded back. All I did was ask her questions. Here is my current profile: http://www.plentyoffish.com/member16316312.htm This is who I emailed: http://www.plentyoffish.com/viewprofile.aspx?profile_id=16674641 I wrote to her: Hey I stumbled on your profile and became interested right away. Reading your profile you seem like a true cancer, caring, kind hearted, compassionate, a true lover. What kinda of things are you into? Do you like outdoor activities like jet skiing? Are you currently going to school or are you a full time Hair stylist? She wrote back: I am actually a full time stylist right now, Ill probably finish my degree once I have residency in FL as I just moved here. I am definatly a true cancer. Fit the profile exactly Im into lots of things! Dancing, the beach, museums, reading...anything interesting really. Now I have to email her back. Going to have to ask more questions I guess. The topless photo is still up. She didn't red flag me. Yet look at her photo you think someone with a profile like that is going to hate me cause of my topless photo? I'm a 24 year old sending messages to girls younger then me. What do young girls want most of all?
Yukikazi Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 The fact that she didn't ask you any questions isn't a good sign. You have no value to her yet.. she isn't investing
Art_Critic Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Lose the shirt less pics on your profile.. Get rid of partner in crime... that is the most uover used expression.

Here is my current profile: http://www.plentyoffish.com/member16316312.htm Having just looked.. I would advise you loosing the pic that you obviously chopped out your dance partner. Drop the word videogames from your interests. This is who I emailed: http://www.plentyoffish.com/viewprofile.aspx?profile_id=16674641 Aiming high eh?
Author Lost-n-confused Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Aiming high eh? You consider that high? LOL
Yukikazi Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 You consider that high? LOL For a virgin and knowing your issues.. yea.. sorry, but yep

I would not reply to an email from someone who wrote like that, regardless how his abs looked in his shirtless photo. But I guess grammar is more important to some than others, nothing wrong with that.
dreamergrl Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Notice how he has the shirtless picture and is going after the bikini girls.
looking4 green grass Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 "to further explore each other." That sounds like you're going to look in each others arm pits and stuff.
Author Lost-n-confused Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 For a virgin and knowing your issues.. yea.. sorry, but yep If you consider that girl high you should of seen the girl I was talking about in the other thread. She was a personal trainer and the only body fat on her was her breasts. Her face was nothing less then gorgeous. Anyways... I did what everyone said... http://www.plentyoffish.com/member16316312.htm All my other online profiles are the same. The topless photo is gone.
D-Lish Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 You consider that high? LOL He was being sarcastic... I am beginning to wonder if you are a troll - doing everything wrong on a dating profile on purpose to antagonize responses.
CLC2008 Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Aiming high eh? Are you people actually buying this bit?

What kinda of things are you into? Do you like outdoor activities like jet skiing? Are you currently going to school or are you a full time Hair stylist? Wrong! You did not become interested in her right away. That screams desperate. I told you that it spills out for you IRLShe wrote back: I am actually a full time stylist right now, Ill probably finish my degree once I have residency in FL as I just moved here. Yukikazi Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 Are you people actually buying this bit? Shhh.. play along..
Author Lost-n-confused Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 Its gone so don't worry. I'm too sexy for the internet I guess. LOL joking.
shadowplay Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 I personally find the whole profile a turn off. The bad shirtless photo is a huge deal breaker. At best you come off as a "wanne be" player. The spelling and grammar must be fixed. I agree, especially with the wannabe player remark. Everything in the profile is a turnoff.
Author Lost-n-confused Posted December 8, 2009 Author Posted December 8, 2009 I said I changed it... http://www.plentyoffish.com/member16316312.htm
dudet Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 i agree that he should lose the topless picture, and seems a bit self absorbed, but i'm sorry are you people on here ugly? i mean physically lol. you seem kind of envious of this dude, or intimidated rather. lol i don't think you are just giving constructive criticisms. some of these comments just sound spiteful

My criticisms may be harsh but he asked for an honest critique, and people do judge profiles harshly when they have to weed through a ton.
shadowplay Posted December 8, 2009 Posted December 8, 2009 you know you can't get a guy like him i bet LMFAO you are intimidated and your last post clarifies that 100%. come on criticizing his hair and saying he looks gay? now quit making yourself look like more of a fool than you claim him to be I can and have gotten guys who I consider to be higher caliber. I am not in the least bit intimidated by somebody who writes like a fifteen-year-old.
