Women: Male shirtless photos on dating sites

The Way I Am

Recommended Posts

Umm i hope to hell thats a typo.. i don't think thats the type of stroking he had in mind.

If he wants something meaningful... he should want a girl to find him attractive for more then just his muscles. He should want to feel good that he doesn't need to show off just to get attention.

Of course.. but if the pic is mundane.. he could have the most awesome attractive enticing profile known to man.. but with a lame pic and uninteresting title to grab attention.. he wont get anywhere.

I think a shirtless picture is more mundane then a good shot of his face and a good title.

needing 1.. no

Getting 1.. matter of opinion.

So you don't think getting complimented is attractive? Whats a compliment other then a stroke of someone elses ego?

I don't want the first thing a guy to tell me is how hot I am. I'd rather he be interested in getting to know me based off my entire profile.

Sure compliments are flattering, but they are more flattering when it's not about how I look with barely anything on. When we get to the point of getting naked, then he get tell me how wonderful my body is, but it's not needed.

a bit hypocritical eh? like you got room to talk....look at your avatar, thats as bad as a guy being topless. just think if you have a pic like that on here..what WOULD you have on a dating site:laugh:

for the record you pic is not exactly a turn on

It's not even close to the same thing. My pic is exactly like Dreamrgrl's only my t-shirt is lighter coloured and I choose not show all my entire face here. I have the body I have, do you want me to wear a parka so that I don't offend you? I can't do anything about the size of my breasts so what should I do hide them or strap them down with a tensor band to make me look flat chested for your viewing pleasure?

I think not. :)

I think it's safe to say, most if not all of us, post pics of ourselves that are flattering and show off our best assets. MYSELF included.

IBY has the camera pointed at her boobies....

And Dreamer, your head is tilted in your photo too!

:lmao:

This isn't a dating site now is it? My dating profile has a clear shot of my face. Several actually. I'm not looking to find a date on LS ;)

No it's not, but the point in itself is the same.

Do you post bikini or cleavage shots, where every whacko can see them?

I'm not looking for a date on here, so I have no need to show myself exactly how I am. For the record, the avie I have up now... that's in my dating profile. Straight shot. Not showing off boobs or any other curves. I've gotten plenty of replies from it. Among other pictures like it. Along with some candid pictures.

Look I have a decent looking body, and I work hard for it to look good. I photograph in what I wear day to day, I am not about to wear different clothes to prove something here. This is how I dress, I am not topless or in by bra and my pic shows nothing but form. My rules is, if I can step out of my house looking like that I can certainly post it here. So deal with it.

Back to the topic of shirtless men, my guy is in a relationship, the shirtless losers are still looking for love on the dating site. You do the math.

Sorta have to agree here..

Your pic shows belly button to neck.. on a women there is only 1 thing you could be emphasizing with such a cropped shot.

You can deny it if you like.. but your pic is not similar to dreamers former pic.

You are advertising your chest.. don't fool yourself

You must be confusing me with someone objecting to your pic...

Guys who post those photos of themselves online, whether they are on dating sites or not, are just looking for sex or are so vain and narcissistic that they want to be panted after. Unfortunately for some, if they knew how many men are also checking them out they would think twice about it. Ha ha ha ...

FYI, my former picture isn't what I use for a primary picture... The last two I posted .. this one and the previous clear shot of my face are the first two. I have candid pictures.

But it doesn't matter on here. TBF had one of her faced blurred, why, because it's LS and she's not looking to date on here, she chooses not to flash her face on here. You can't compare our avs to what we'd use on a dating site. You can't compare the two. It's not being hypocritical because they aren't the same.

Sorry TBF.. just using you as an example.

:lmao::lmao: yes, very very very true!

And a guy with real confidence doesn't need to flash their half naked bodies about for attention.

I am not advertising anything because I am not looking for anything, in particular I am not on a dating site looking for a long term relationship. I am already in a long term relationship, and quite frankly it's my ass and I'll do with it what I want. I owe you nothing. :)

Now in terms of naked chest men on a dating site claiming they are looking for a relationship, it is cheesy. They will never get a decent woman that way. Simple.

omg, no one was talking about your current face, it was the other one of your body. yes, it was nothing like the other girls picture, so why even bother defending yourself over it

i think if a girl is just showing her chest anywhere thats a bad sign lol...not saying she doesn't look good but doesn't leave much to imagination

hahaha thats even worse. this is cracking me up. but back to main topic, i don't think its cool for a guy or girl to expose themselves like that on dating sites or anywhere online. if a guy is topless, it should be because they are at the beach or something similar not just posing to get attention

Proves my point right here.

Women don't like the bare chested muscleman avatars because they know it is attractive to many women, hence hard to keep around, not because it is "arrogant" or anything of the sort.

I have yet to see a woman say that is the reason on here. I've certainly seen other reasons why women don't like it.

On a dating website, no. But, I have posted pics of myself that to me, were flattering, it may have shown off my legs or something to that effect, back when I was on a dating website.

And TBF, you had a pic not too long ago on here in short shorts and knee high boots, which was VERY flattering as well.

Yes, there is a difference between a dating website and a social networking website, that I agree with. But, it is still an attractive photo nonetheless...

No worries. I put up the pic to take up the challenge, thrown out by CE on that Christmas avatar thread. While I did post one that wasn't blurred for all of 10 minutes, I don't often like to post clear shots on LS, especially lately, since I'm leary of the crazy individuals that inhabit cyberspace. And for certain, I'm not trolling LS for a date.

I don't deny my own vanity...one bit. But I'm not going to post bikini, lingerie or zero-ed in shots of my chest or ass. They're just tasteless in the public realm, just like it's tasteless for men to strip off their shirts for pics.

Of course they are. Do you think they're looking for someone to pay their bills? ;)

Smart women manage that dynamic to their advantage. Seen plenty of it in my lifetime. Married it. Developed a sense of humor about it. Go get em, dude :)
