Blindsidedagainalive Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Just noticed that the SEX HARDWIRING thread got more hits than I THINK HE RAPED ME! How can this be explained. Are we 'hardwired' (woman and men) to be attracted to the SEX subject rather than a woman who is in despair and thinks she was RAPED???

I think many avoid it for this reason.
ADF Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Just noticed that the SEX HARDWIRING thread got more hits than I THINK HE RAPED ME! How can this be explained. Are we 'hardwired' (woman and men) to be attracted to the SEX subject rather than a woman who is in despair and thinks she was RAPED??? No, I don't think so. Had she said, "he raped me," she would have gotten a much bigger response. But "I think he raped me" makes the poster sound flakey.
JackJack Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Threads based on sex, of any kind, or porn, are always a hit. Alot of time, the more negative a thread too, the more hits it will have than something positive. Kind of sad really, because it can turn into more of a who is right and who is wrong thread than a real helpful one. I think what gets me is, posters who make very long drawn out replies, really going into depth over and over again trying to explain their point.
Toodamnpragmatic Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 No, I don't think so. Had she said, "he raped me," she would have gotten a much bigger response. But "I think he raped me" makes the poster sound flakey. I have nop answer to her thread that would help. I am disturbed by it and really at a loss to give an answer that would help or may even be hurtful. Thus I saty away. As for lack of sex posts or weight, much simpler....
You Go Girl Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 Rape is a much more painful subject to tackle. I think many avoid it for this reason. Yep. I will try to get around to that thread today, later. I am avoiding it. I may read details that give me visuals. I may find her pain very troublesome. I have a lot of my own problems right now, and tackling one as big as that one just may put me in a bad attitude for the rest of the day.
