glasshammer Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 Okay Okay... I have this Cousin she's 34, I'm 27 male. I don't see her that often(we live 45 min.away from each other) and I'm not REALLY close to her, but know her.. know what's she's into etc. she's single, has never had great luck in relationships, has friends, but always in fights or in cahoots with them because somebody said something she didn't like, acted a way she didn't like etc.. She is a Partier. She likes to go clubbin. etc. Tries to stay youthful, always tries to get us cousins (in our early to mid twenties) to go out to disneyland or go to chucky cheese and play video games(kid stuff) My Problem is, She has the tendencey to be a bug and be very bossy. She's always nice to everyone, but likes to control situations and if something isn't going her way she gets bitchy and bossy and gets an attitudue or shows her dislike or disgust, she's very opinionated. She's been calling me a lot lately trying to get me to go out with her, go out and party. Personally, I'm not into clubbing or bars or partying. I'm into music, Art, Poetry and museums, so is my girlfriend i live with. Anyway, before this gets to boring and too long, She will NOT get a clue that i just don't like hanging out with her. We really don't have anything in Common at all. Yet she calls, emails, calls, emails. If i call her, she acts like she is so so so grateful that i called her, like I'm a movie star or something. She's always "You never call me, I wanna go Out, I Love You"(btw, She tells all my cousins she loves them)She's just a Pain in the ass. I don't want to be mean to her, but I feel like telling her something. Up until now, I've always just dodged her calls, said i was busy or just haven't gotten back to her. she bugs my other cousin a lot more, because they live in the same town. He just dodges her, says he's to busy, she'll snub him for a few weeks then call him to go out. He seems to think it's because her friends get sick of her bitchiness and bossiness that they ditch her lots of times, so she turns to us, seeking buddies to go out drinking and partying I want to tell her that she needs to chill out and take it easy, How do I do That????????????????????
Drop in Posted December 16, 2003 Posted December 16, 2003 Tell her she's being bossy and a pest and that her needy attitude is alienating you from her, and tell her that you care about her because she's your cousin, but you really don't want to hang out with her all the time, and ask her to stop calling and emailing you all the time - if you want to see her you'll call. If her feelings are hurt it is up to her to deal with it. She can choose to be hurt or angry, or she can choose to not to feel that way.

But who cares, right? I shouldn't care. I'm a nice guy, i'm loving and very supportive of my loved ones, never want to be mean to anyone other than mean people...But this chick bugs the sh*t out of me. She annoys me to no END!!
