If you like Latinas you should go for the ones that are quieter and traditional like Brazilian, Mexican, Venezuelan, Colombian, etc. Puerto Rican woman are probably the feistiest Latinas you could date. Well like I said previously I have cousins from Puerto Rico and they were fun to hang out with but I haven't seen them in a long time. It doesn't really matter to me what country they are from really, as long as they are nice like the ones I used to know.

He chose her to be with, presumably he finds her very attractive. His big problem is that he has gotten lazy and stopped communicating his attraction to her. I used to take it personally and let it make me insecure, start thinking that he felt less attracted to me than he used to...but now I try to see it as just a communication issue. Sometimes they really need to be hit with the clue by four and reminded that we can't read their minds, either. I noticed within this thread several posters saying that as long as he's banging you it means he finds you hot, but women often need more than just the banging, we need the words and the gestures too. Your man could maybe use a little reminding to use his words. The more confident you feel about his high sexual regard for YOU, the less you will care that he also happens to find other types attractive. JMO.

The wake up call is, that although people would love to be the only person who their partner finds attractive, its just not realistic. I think this is the seat of your problems, really you want to be the only one that he finds attractive, which is why you can tolerate him liking women who look a bit like you, because then you can say to yourself 'he likes them because they remind him of me' dont compare yourself to them, its just a visual thing, its not a reflection on how attractive he finds you. Just because he finds someone visually attractive who doesnt look like you, it is possible to find many different types of looks attractive, without having a preference. In reading this, I just realized that I haven't put much effort into my looks lately. Actually, most of my life I've "toned it down" because I didn't want to/never learned how to handle the attention. This isn't to say he hasn't gotten lazy. After meeting a self-proclaimed "Asian fetishist" today, I now know that my bf definitely isn't one. I won't get into what he told me. Let's just say I don't envy his future dating prospects.

I'm not surprised my bf find different types of women attractive. I find many different types of men attractive too. I, however, do have a preference. I wanted your help in figuring out if he had a preference for Asian women. Today, I accepted the fact that he doesn't. (See above post.) He told me he didn't and I didn't want to believe him. I figured, if you don't prefer their looks, why bother looking at all? Then I thought about the men I watched in porn... (I'm not sure if women and men watch porn in the same way.) Anyways, I realized that I'm not watching because of their looks. So it's possible he isn't either.

Yes, Asian women love white men, but not in the fervor that I have noticed the other way around. The reason I say this is that I have a few beautiful asian girl friends and they already are weary of the "yellow fever" dudes. Some of the stories I've heard them tell me blows my mind. Though if you're saying that the girls are obsessed the other way around and you've heard if from girl-talk, than it might be more two-way than I thought.

I wouldn't exactly describe it as obsession. maybe a sort of infatuation but hardly an obsession. I guess everyone kind of wants what they can't have. There was this ginger kid that I liked for a while, and I was on my way to San Diego and tanned the living Hell out of myself for the trip. I thought I looked rediculous (but didn't want to be pasty in a bikini), but white dudes honestly looked at me more often. I dyed my hair dark right after that to cover up my funky auburn roots and so I was basically dark skinned and dark-haired. I was hit on warp-speed by gringoes and the attention faded as the spraytan did. It's not the amount of times I got hit on that was the difference - it was how nervous and obviously more attracted to me they were when I was a darker version of myself. But to bring it around, after I made myself look Filipino my ginger crush went up to me and said, "You look GORGEOUS with straight black hair and dark skin. God, I love women with dark skin and dark hair." I've heard this kind of stuff a lot from guys. Long, straight dark hair, tan skin, asian features and you're a white dude magnet.

I (and MANY other Latinas) could tell you stories about "brown fever" dudes that would "blow your mind." However, that wouldn't be indicative of white men's general obsession with "brown women."
