novack Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Hey LS folk, Same story as everyone here: 2 years r/s got cheated on (found out much later), been 3 months and she now has a bf.... I still love the girl to pieces and she is on my mind quite often, but she is no longer the same kind of love, more like a past memory of someone i once loved.... I go to the same school as the girl and i don't often run into her. I saw her today talking to a guy (the one who she cheated on me with not her bf), i walked right by them and i dunno if she even saw me! Right after i was out of sight, my legs got weak and my stomach felt empty... i was a little distressed until i ran into a friend (ACTUALLY AMAZING) who cheered me right up! I'm going on exchange next semester, and i won't have to see my ex until next aug... i have only 18 days left until i head home for the holidays... Just wondering, where am i on the stage of recovery! I have some good days (where i'm sooooo happy), than i have some bad ones (usually when it involves seeing her)... i have been with other girls but not looking for anything serious until i'm 100% better... Just looking for insight!

Anything in between is just a roller-coaster of emotions (some days you're distracted & happy, then you'll hit rock bottom and sometimes a memory can make you angry) of moving on. The more you keep her alive in your head, the slower you will move. Although it hasn't been that long, i do think you are doing well. At least you didn't become a total train wreck compared to the first time you'd bumped into her, right? Time away from her next semester will do you good.
Author novack Posted December 4, 2009 Author Posted December 4, 2009 haha ya i'm still hung up but THE CRAZIEST THING JUST HAPPENED!!!!! AS you guys know i'm doing a university exchange to barcelona (i'm from mtl) this upcoming january. I decided barcelona bc last year during jan my ex and i wanted to go together... After we broke up she changed hers to Madrid... I found out from a mutual friend that her exchange has been disallowed and she is staying here!!! The reason we broke up was bc she cheated but at the time she told me these exact words "i need to be independent and single in Spain".. Now she is in a serious r/s and staying here, while i'm going to Spain w/o her and single.... WOOOOOAHAHAHAHAHHAAHA!!! Karma is a huge bitch, i guess the world does even out... the evil inside me is laughing ahahahahaha
