That's a great book. I read it and really took it too heart around a year ago. A few weeks later I met my current ex bf. If it hadn't been for that book, I probably would have been at the right place to engage in such a wonderful relationship with him.
Kantor Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Wait, so your saying, because you read the book, you weren't at a place to engage in a wonderful relationship? If so, I may put this book down right now haha.
Author red_cloud Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Haha, no my bad.. I meant to say, that if it weren't for the book, I would not have been in that place. Its a really good book.
quankanne Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 best relationship book I've read (and I don't care for self-help books) is "The Five Love Languages." It describes the different ways people express their love and how you can learn to make your styles meld to create a more harmonious relationship. no BS factor here, just straight-out observation that's practical and realistic. Best part is that it doesn't just apply to a romantic relationship, but all relationships.
PandaStillLovesBunny Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 This isn't a relationshippy book, but I always go back and read "The Fountainhead" when I need to be reminded to work on MYSELF, and just forget about my exes and their problems. Of course, it also helps to start working out and looking awesome
