red_cloud Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 At a bar? At a club? Wait for them to come to you? Say hello? Ask questions about their life? What if they wanted to end the relationship because they might feel like you didn't appreciate them enough and then when you tried to change they refuse to see it and called you selfish?
carhill Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Nothing. They have no further significance than anyone else in the world, though they did at one time. Accept the past and live in the present
Ilovecake Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Completely ignore each other as if we've never met before. It’s a little difficult as we have tons of friends in common and I can see some of them feel uncomfortable and torn. Last time we were at the same show he tried to talk to a group of friends I was talking to at the time so I just excused myself and walked away.
DustySaltus Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I'd have to leave...we broke up on such bad terms god knows what would occur.
dreams13 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 walk, no run the other way, it will save you years of heartache. your broken up and there is a reason you are...don't let yourself think that things could be different this time around...they wont be it is very rare people change...
CaliGuy Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I mind my own business and have a good time. There's no need to pay them any attention. If they say hello, say hi back and keep walking. If they want to talk, tell them you're busy or something (maybe in not such a blunt way). The bottom line is "Whatever they have to say, you don't want/need to hear it" and you really don't need to seek them out. You're out to have fun. Forget out your ex and HAVE FUN!
Ingenue Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 For me, it depends on the circumstances of the break-up and how my ex treated me. For my most recent ex, I'd return a salutation but nothing more. If I had to, I'd engage in polite conversation.
