What Advice does anyone have on People in their Early-Mid-Late Twenties Who don't know what it is they should do in life? Aren't sure what

career they chould choose? Feel Like they are a failure because they aren't in school getting a degree? Afraid of marriage because they feel

marriage is scary/too much pressure?

i have friends that have good jobs, aren't lazy or low lifes, suffer from the questions i'm asking. Some of them(23,26,28yrs old) feel like since they never finished college or arent in college they are a failure when it come to chatting around the fireplace during the holidays.."So John, What are you doing with your life?"

Just looking for some advice on how I could help them out.

also have a lot of friends leaving good relationships because they aren't sure what they want....Marriage scares them...

they wonder if they are depriving themselves of enjoying other people because they've been with one person

for many years and marriage is inevitably the next step and it frightens them...A "is this it, is this my life?" sort of thing.

Life is a very brief encounter with a golden moment of consciousness which you get to use in any way you desire. You can work, smell the flowers, go to DisneyWorld, amass and fortune or go broke and lots of things in between. Life is a flash in the pan. It's here one day and gone the next. You really don't have to have any particular object except to do what makes you happy and explore the aspects of it which will give you the most joy to experience. The meaning of it all is experiential. The universe if quite indifferent as to how happy, sad, satisfied, or miserable you are. It just keeps going, suppying experiences to all willing receipients good and bad.

If you want to read some nice stuff on various aspects of life, go here: http://www.columbia.edu/~gm84/gibtable.html Click on the topics you'd like to read about. Each is not very long. They were written as part of The Prophet, a book by Kahlil Gibran published long ago. It's a classic. After you read just a few of the topics you may be interested in, you may not be so obsessed with making sense out of anything and perhaps a bit more intent on enjoying the nature of the journey.

When you get off the ride of life, that signals the end of it. Enjoy the ride!!! That's the only thing it's about.

As far as marriage is concerned, let that be part of your journey. Some last a long time, others last a shorter time. But it's an opportunity to explore a very important part of life and experience a kind of love you will feel nowhere else...of the depths of hell you will see nowhere else. It's really up to YOU!!! And stop worrying about everybody else. Let them travel their path...and you stay on yours. For that lesson, go here and enjoy the read of Desiderata, another classic and it doesn't take long: http://www.ameritech.net/users/macler/desiderata.html

And, yes, your question: How Many People Truly Know What They Want Out Of Life? That would be 8,762,356 people as of right now.
