Would you? Should you? Why didn't you? Coulda, woulda, shoulda -- why is it so much clearer after the end?

If you could have, why wouldn't you?

If you wouldn't have, why couldn't you?

If you should have, why is it so much clearer now?

I could have, I should have ... I would have, had I known I should have at the time.

If I shouldn't have, why did I? If I couldn't have, who was I? If I wouldn't have, where was I?

And last but not least, are you going to take the lessons and learn the next time. So that the next time you're standing at a fork in the road. That one moment in time that could change the course of your relationship, think really hard about what you would do, what you shouldn't do and what you always could do.

Because anything else, and we'll all end back here.

Nah...

Breakups happen for a reason(s) and that has more to do with fate and compatibility rather than changing choices..

If I had altered anything in my prior relationships or my previous marriage then I would never had met my now wife and had my son.. that is why you don't fuqk with stuff when it is broken.. because there is something better around the corner..

For you, that's awesome. But sometimes it takes people going around corner after corner to realize that the place they started really was right for them.

I never said I went RIGHT around the corner.. I went around many corners till I finally realized why it didn't work with all the rest :)

Fair enough, but I guess the point I was trying to make in my original cryptic post was that we need to suck it in and learn things about ourselves when we go to the next relationship. Because anyone who believes they were perfect in the previous one is just going to have a series of failed relationships their entire lives.

And of course -- people need to learn to let go and move on and stop shooting themselves over mistakes. Life is about making mistakes.
