So she stops by to pick up the kids & has this sad/pissed look on her face.

I ask her what is wrong & she points out the giant inflatable snowman & the house decorations & says "you never wanted to decorate the house & now you do."

Then told me the house looks nice.

Then she was just a agitated bitch until she left.

She then called back to say she had a bad day.

I told her "whatever, it doesn't matter"

She claimed I never decorated.

Ya know, with the exception of the snowman (my sister brought it over) Every decoration she saw I pulled out of the basement.

They have been sitting there since the last yr she was faithful to me. I decorated the house for her because she loved decorations.

But then something happened & she changed & I just didn't feel like doing it anymore.

It's funny, she acknowledges there is a point A: Our marriage.

She acknowledges there is a point B: our separation & inevitable divorce.

But she acts like what got us from a to b was a mutual decision & her lieing, cheating, & manipulating just didn't happen.

It's going to be a long holiday season.

I'm hearing you Gunny.

I'm much better this morning.

On my way to work a good friend of mine called to say high.

She's going through pretty much the same thing as me (child with a selfish ex) she's just further down the road than me & basically said the same thing as you. LOL!

we use each other as sounding boards sometimes & I really do feel much better.

It just knocked me on my ass to hear her tell me I never decorated the house when clearly the boxes of used decorations I had in basement say differently.

The kids & I were having a ball. The 3 1/2 yr old was putting up ornaments & the 1 1/2 yr old was taking them down.

Then trying to put them back but couldn't figure out why they wern't sticking. LOL!

Then 'ole sour puss showed up & pulled her grinch act.

Next time, i'll be more resilant.

Thank you.

The Holiday Season is a rough one! But you know what?

Its really just another Day in Nov & Dec?

You did just fine before you meet them? And you'll do fine after them!

I know I've pulled a many of them as the COG (Corparal of the Guard) SOG (Seargent of the Guard) and as OD (Officer of the Day) over the course of my twenty in the Corps!

Even after they lie, cheat and steal and break up the marriage, they still come around and find things to get pissed off about.

Un-****ing-believable.

Hi Phineas, because I am feeling extremely angry/sad/lost today it is probably with not much Christmas Spirit that I suggest you go to Target and buy every light, decoration & inflatable anything you can get your hands on and turn your house inside & out into some sort of Christmas Wonderland. Maybe get some friends over, have a few drinks and go crazy!!! That should impress her......

Hi Phin

Fact is she's p*****d b/c you are getting on with your life and doing things that she wanted you to do for her, even though she was cheating. Warped I know! But there it is pure and simple.

I often get the urge to let my ex know I am now doing a postgrad in law, have just applied for the Law practice course next year, am about to do work experience in a large local firm and am regularly going out with 22-28 year olds bar hopping and clubbing, and getting chatted up by 20-23 year olds!;):p

I plan on going on a long haul flight holiday when I finish my exams next June, maybe the US or maybe somewhere hot and sunny! Something he complained about us not doing, b/c I had agoraphobia, but he knew I was well on the way to getting better form that when he left, so his loss.

Like I said though, maybe it would feel good to let him know somehow! LOL

What they don't realise is, that by leaving you, they just make you into the independant person they were first attracted to! Weird!!!!!!!!!

I like the suggestion of Jane, decorate that house up, have a huge party, get her to collect the kids just as it's getting into full swing. She deserves it!

Hey Lisa!!

My friend said basically the same thing & it is messed up.

It all about her & how she needs to feel that I need her & want her & can't do without her.

LOL!

Do what Griswold did in "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation." The next time she stops over, she'll go into a panic attack!

I watched that last night. :D

I put up a fence at the end of my driveway this weekend & put 3 strings of lights up.

Some friends dropped by with more decorations.

I honestly put the decorations up because my 3 1/2 yr old loves them.

I ask him where he wants the decoration to go & I put it up.

It looks like a tinsel bomb went off in the house but it makes him happy & that's really all that matters.

Good for you Phin! Plus the ex will have heart failure over it! Bonus!
