hspark7777 Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 Hi everyone, my name is Hyun Suk Park and I'm 20 years old and I'm from Korea. This is my 4th year in United state and I met this girl last year at my freshmen year in University. I have never dated a white American women before so I didn't know much about relationships but one thing for sure was that I love her to death. We first met in Tae Kweon Do club and we talked like forever since the first time we saw each other. After two weeks when it was Hallowin she became my girlfriend. She was 19 years old and was so beautiful and adorable that I felt like I could even give up my life for her. She also loved me alot and we became emotionally and physically attached. We even promised each other that we'll love each other for forever and ever.. There was another guy from Korea who is 25 years old and met her around the same time I did. (He was my friend at the begining) She like him very much and they hang out alot and she seemed so happy to be around him. She called him her best friend. They even hang out without letting me know because she thought I would be upset which causes me to be upset even more. We almost broke up because I was constantly jealous for them hanging out so much and not haveing as much fun with me. Eversince he left to Korea 6 month ago, she had a heartbreak and was constantly sad & depressed. She couldn't even to go some place because it reminds her of him. Even now, she confessed to me that she still misses him and waiting for him to chet through online. She told me that he is like her very very close friend.. My parent bought me a plane ticket for me& my girlfriend to come over to Korea this winter break and I told her that I want her to go meet him while we are over there because I know that she wants to.. But, she also said she is so excited and nervous to see my parents and she always told me that I'll be in her future life. A month ago she said she is planning to teach English in Korea for about 6month during the spring&summer the year she graduates. And she said it is because she could graduate with me and her friends. Today, I started worring because the whole reason she is going to Korea might be to see him. I've even seen a little bit of the content of their conversation that my girl friend said she is planning to come to Korea and this guy said "We can hang out like we used to".. This whole thing going on is hurting me so much. I told her how I feel and she always told me that she don't want me to hurt but nothing have changed. I don't really know how to deal with this. I need your help. Thank you.

I need your help. Thank you. When you say that you guys almost broke up when she started talking to this guy was it your idea or her idea? If it was her idea and you asked her to try again, she almost definetly cheated on you. If it was your idea, you look insecure and paranoid, even it was justified. Either way you can't win. At the end of the day it's all about trust. I do think that she is using him to fill some time of void that you can't provide to her at the moment. I don't know what this is, it's something you need to think about. Personally, I would NEVER let things get to this point. When she says she can't go certain places because it reminds her of him, that's a HUGE red flag in my eyes. When you are with someone you TRULY care about they are the closest person in your life. Wherever you are at that POINT is the CENTER of the WORLD. It sounds like her head is somewhere else. Try to keep them meeting up in a group setting if you can. It makes you sensitive to her needs but at the same time doesn't make you look like a slouch. If they disappear together or make excuses, it looks like it's time to move on.
