dave22 Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 My friend just ended a relationship and I want to ask her out. I am wondering how long I should wait. They were only together for a month but it sounds like she was pretty into him... it was mostly a case of them having different long term plans. I know I should wait but am not sure how long.
JoJola Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 how long ago did she end it with the other guy...if it was a week ago then definately wait. You are friends, right? Have you ever gone out before as friends?
Author dave22 Posted November 17, 2009 Author Posted November 17, 2009 Yeah, it was only a week ago that she ended it. Which means, I guess that I should wait. We do play badminton together once a week, so I see her on a regular basis.
Devil Inside Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 It depends on what you want out of that relationship. If you want to be a rebound guy ask sooner. It may be fun, but it will probably be for the purposes of helping her get over the other guy, and it may not be long term. If you want it to be longer term, then wait, let her have some time to get over the other guy. It shouldn't take forever...maybe a few weeks.

She was pretty worked up about what happened to this guy, I need to give her a few weeks. I'll just be supportive of her and a good friend, but nothing more right now. If it worked out I'd definitely want it to be for the long term.
