skylarblue Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 I’ve never done anything crazy to see my MM. I’m single so I don’t have to jump through hoops to try to see him. He, on the other hand, has to find a way to get out of the house once he’s home. There’s two things that my MM has done that I found surprising. He once left a function he was at where he’s W and kids were attending to come see me, and then went back to the function before it was over. The other time is when we had plans to meet, but he cancelled because his W had to take one of their kids to the hospital (allergic reaction). A few hours later he called me and told me to pick him up a block away from his house in an hour. He had told his W he was going to take a walk and smoke a cigar (not unusual, he doesn’t smoke in the house or around the kids). But this time I picked him up and we drove like 2mins away from his house and had sex on the hood of my car behind some buildings and then I dropped him back home. His W actually called his cell immediately after we were done asking him to come home and do something for her.

When I was seeing a guy who lived 6 hours away I would drop my husband off at work at 630am and head out for the 6 hour drive, stay with him for 12 hours and drive 6 hours back to pick up my husband after his 24 hour shift. Where did your husband think you were while he was working a 24 hour shift? Were you working? Taking care of children?

I'm actually scared to do anything crazy because he'd freak out & no matter what happens, if there's a dday, I'd be the one to take the fall I'm sure. I'm very careful about my actions because I have a very public job, and he is a wealthy & well known man. We stand out.
OWoman Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 I may be wrong, but I think if someone has not done something a bit crazy whilst in this kind of relationship, then maybe they are not completely in love. All those love chemicals whizzing about in your brain make you crazy don't they? :love: If you have never felt that, then you are not in love. I suppose it depends on what your baseline is. I'm pretty spontaneous and impetuous and do what takes me anyhow, so what others may consider "crazy" would be normal for me. That said, there's a limit to the "crazy" I'm prepared to accept from a lover. Flying in unexpectedly to a remote venue where I'm presenting at a conference is definitely NOT appreciated, nor is arriving unannounced outside my house and waiting for me to arrive, with huge bunches of flowers, and nor is sending romantic faxes to a departmental fax machine They may be keen to declare their undying love in very public ways, but I resent the claims that that implies on my life, my space, my independence. (Of course, now I'm M, things are different...)

Suffice it to say that I've sacrificed my dignity and better judgement in pursuit of elusive love from a man who was happiest having it both ways many many times. I think back on those moments as times where I could have really used something to stop me and force me to really look at what I was doing. All those ridiculous things look so much less romantic in retrospect.

White Flower Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 We've done lots of exciting things which some would call crazy and others would call normal. We've had sex in parks both in and out of the car, movie theatres, and once sat together at a televised funeral. Risky business but thrilling. The craziest, I think, is when he came to a graduation of mine and hugged me in public knowing my ex could have been around and caught us at any moment. I was separated at the time, but we still wanted to prevent his feelings from being hurt. I once told him that I insisted on keeping some of that thrill in our R should we end up together. Otherwise, we'd be just another boring couple.
