green apples Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I saw a man, who was eyeing me from a distance. I was a bit disgusted. As we got closer to each other on opposite riding escalators, he looked like he knew I knew he was looking and he gave me a side look (his eyeballs were at the side of each eye) with a slight sly smile (or just a slanted mouth twitch). Why do men do this? I don't know but isn't that creepy?
Malenfant Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 he probably thought he was being all smooth and sexy. Lol, was he ever wrong!
Author green apples Posted November 15, 2009 Author Posted November 15, 2009 he probably thought he was being all smooth and sexy. Lol, was he ever wrong! Are you a female or male? If you were a female, would you find that smooth and sexy?
boogieboy Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 Just be happy he was looking at you. Theres plenty of women on this board that get no looks whatsoever.
hopesndreams Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I don't see anything creepy about this. He liked you. What if the man doing it was hot? Wouldn't be so creepy then would it?
Sakakawea Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I don't know why, but I find the mental image hilarious.
Ruby Slippers Posted November 15, 2009 Posted November 15, 2009 I know exactly what you mean. I was in a coffee shop last weekend, and this guy walks in and STARES at me from the moment he came in to the moment he went into the next room. And when I went over to do up my coffee, in his line of sight, he just KEPT STARING. He was moderately attractive, but I don't care how attractive you are, staring is creepy.
always_searching Posted November 16, 2009 Posted November 16, 2009 (edited) LOL, well, I'm totally flattered by a side-stare and half-smile. I suppose not a lot creeps me out after some of the creepers who have approached me. For example, one guy--a very attractive African (not American)--sat with me at a cafe and started chatting with me. I was totally open to him, until we got into some issues relating to feminism. He was totally against it, and said where he was from, women who disobey their husbands get beat. I told him that if I were in that country, I would apparently either be single or a lesbian, and he said that lesbians get stoned--as in hit with rocks, not high--and that single women can't support themselves. Another guy--he too was fairly attractive--came up to me and started professing love, then told me he has a tendency to become obsessed with people and stalk them. LOL, he followed me around for an entire semester. He's gone now and, apparently, wants to become a priest. Haha, so, yeah: I welcome side-stares and half-smiles as long as none of the other situations I've mentioned ensue. Edited November 16, 2009 by always_searching

Totally agree, men stare at me all the time..I guess they like what they see...I am old enough to know it won't go on forever...I enjoy it...Geez, imagine if you never got an admiring glance/stare or were just constantly ignored.Wouldn't that be worse?
Pizzaman81 Posted November 17, 2009 Posted November 17, 2009 He's probably thinking while doing that... "Heh"
