You've just about killed the thread now. :D:D:D

I tried, but alas, apparently it was not to be.

Side notes:

1. There is a double standard for a reason. Get over it girls. The reasons are

a) historical-men can't get pregnant therefore they don't risk so much --> woman is more irresponsible if she has more partners (invention of the pill changed it but still the stigma is there)

b) historical -pregnancy again....Mater certa, pater incertus est. (dna testing changed that but still....)

c) historical - polygamy was more common.

d) social proof- supply and demand. Women are in demand therefore it is less valueated when they get laid.

e) psychological - it is unhealthy to divide sex and love

f) moral - disrespect to your future SO...see #2

2. Nobody likes used merchandise.

You kinda know you're not going to be a notch on her bedpost, eh? ;)

angerbang might occur though:o

You can have all the girls who have only had two partners and meanwhile I'll take the ones who are still exciting and fun in bed once the novelty wears off, and who aren't uncomfortable around my penis. Deal?

LOL good one! I'll have to remember that gem of a phrase!

And that is fine to have that preference. But don't inflict your values on others by stating generalizations that because someone has more sexual partners than you, that they are "exercising poor judgment."

You don't have to have a serious relationship with someone YOU define as promiscuous, but do not assume that promiscuity precludes loyalty and faithfulness.

How am I inflicting my values on anyone? I'm posting on a freaking message board. It's not my fault how you react to what is written here.

Beta... it's no big deal.. you don't have to date women who had several partners.. it's YOUR right...

but how will you ever know for sure how many they had... they can (and probably will if they had many) lie about it..

I probably beat anyone on this forum... over 300+ partners (mostly in the last 7 years)...

What difference does it make.. I'm clean.. getting tested annually.

What difference does it make if you go out (you not knowing how many partners she had) with someone who had 1000 partners if she's clean... you can go out with someone from your church and get infected with AIDS...

I would rather go out with someone who has experience with sex and is clean than with an infected 'prude'.

Just sayin.. :o

I would have a problem with someone that sex is only just another bodily function to...

I could use one of those right about now :D

Lizzie, when are you going to put up an album full of all those nice pictures you keep changing around in your avatar? ;)

I know.. but my point is.. how would you know for sure..

OK.. let's say you meet this beautiful woman... she's nice, intelligent, funny, the whole nine yards... you start dating her.. have sex.. it's amazing.. you discuss your sexual past.. she had numerous men but likes you too much and is afraid to lose you so she lies.. and says she only had one more besides you...

HOW DO YOU KNOW ???? You might NEVER find out.. ever... that's MY point..

You can argue all you want.. but bottom line.. you'll probably never know.:o

Women how like to dance, what’s up with that?

They get all ready in the mirror with their friends. They're like, 'I just need to go. I just need to dance. I'm serious, tonight -- no guys. Screw guys. I just need to -- I've had a rough week, and I just need to dance it out. I just want to stand in a circle around our pocketbooks and shoes and just -- I just want to dance. Dance!'

You will never, ever hear a guy say to one of his buddies, 'Mike -- Mike, Mike, listen, buddy. Tonight, bro, I gotta dance, dude. Screw chicks tonight, bro -- I gotta dance!'

:p:lmao:

Could you lay your experienced eye on my "spinning plates" post earlier and share some wisdom with me. I may be a lost case but my brother needs any advice.

I would presume that if she goes to clubs, her numbers are high. I would presume if she's never been single for more than 5 minute sin her life, her numbers are high.

Thats why the supply and demand is not in balance;) And you say this BS about dancing, because the "SLUT label" is still there hanging to stick:p

Actually you could hear a guy say to his buddies: "Screw the chicks. Lets have some beer, play pool or whatever". We have the saying "No witches tonight". And we go someplace women aren't present(not easy today you infiltrated almost every place for mating reasons). Meanwhile you go just "dancing" just to get hit on every 10 seconds by drunk, desperate guys.:D Gotcha:p

Actually, I think the guy in Dazed and Confused probably would, be he was a fictional character. Apparently he wanted to make a career of dancing.

WRT numbers, that mindset/perspective will both make one more attractive to people who have the numbers mindset/perspective as well as validate one's power through the concept of options and social proof.

I'm not much into those SS 'theories' but understand they do work for a subset of the population who believe in them. Again, it's about compatibility. If your brother becomes a 'plate spinner', is that who he is? Does he believe in that philosophy as his truth? He'll have to for it to work for him. Otherwise, it'll just be a facade.

FWIW, covert options garnered me a divorce and the attendant fiscal and emotional pain, so YMMV :)
