And guys hate on tallish women as the articles and research also show men choose according to height (a height that places them as the taller person of the couple). This implies the only real hating going on is folks who are not getting laid. Whining about how tall you're not never got anyone laid.

It is guys who make height a problem for guys. It is guys who will torment a short guy for being short. It is guys who need to suss out who the big d!c{ in the room is and height is one of the ways they look to to decide this. Women see this. They watch the odd guy out get impotent over his assigned position in the pecking order. They see him believe the opinion of others and fold under it rather than remember his personal selling points. His pride is seen as such a front that it dissolved under scrutiny the moment it was challenged. She and anyone who witnesses is aware he didn't have any pride or confidence in the first place.

Women are not put off by a shorter stature. They are put off by false bravado and a guy with no resolve in the belief he has value.

Amen.

And I'd like to add, that girls are attracted to power more than anything else. And because money=power I suppose you guys should join Communist party and make some revolution to change it, because everyone knows when you are big commie you get a lot of power in communist state....therefore lot of women. Good luck.

I don't agree with your views. I think humans are attracted to humans who know they have something to offer regardless of gender.

Eh? What do you mean exactly? I don't want to jump to conclusions.

For what its worth, I find women with smaller breasts very attractive, so I guess everyone has their preferences and opinions. I'm not saying its a dealbreaker(I'm in no place to be picky) but a woman with a big chest would have to have other qualities.

Tom Cruise is a "manlet" but yet he has no problems.

Sorry but Tom Cruise is definitely not a 'manlet', he is in the lower half of average height range (average height being 5'7-6'1). He's only 4% below average. I can't believe how quickly people are to label someone as "short" even when their height is not "short" at all.

I still do not get this fascination with height. Who in the heck actually cares this much about height? I don't care how tall a guy is unless he's insanely taller than me, or like below 5'5.

For the record, I would not date Tom Cruise, not because he's shorter than me but because he's a Scientologist.

Although scientology is dumb ,I never understood why people think it's any worse than Christianity (well actually women think it's OK to bash Christians), or especially Judaism and Islam.

Just curious, if insecurity about height is such a turnoff, why is nicolas sarkozy the President of France, and married to a model, when he stands on boxes or on his tippy toes when photographed?

HMMMM... Geee, maybe it has to do with his power and status??? Could it be? You know, willing to overlook height, and insecurity about it, if you know, he's famous.

If you changed the world scientologist to "muslim" you would be called a racist and probably liable for hate crimes in Canada.

Browse though dating site ads, the ads written by women, for men.. Look on CL if you don't have a membership to match or whatever. Virtually all of them have height requirements, and the requirements listed usually eliminate about 80% of all men.

He was elected because he had been in politics a long time and people liked his view on issues important to their lives.

As for his attitude about height? We don't know it. The standing on boxes and toes for photos might be a request of others and an indication that others place a judgment on height that his PR makes an effort to get around. None of it indicates how he views himself. I'm sure power is a draw, but like height, it is just one selling point a person may or may not have.

I'm not sure why you're still going on with this. You made up this thread topic, you admitted you made it up and it is not a concern to you.

Quit being histrionic.

Get over your delusions, and yourself.

I bought the shoes.

When they arrive, I will even take pictures of them.

The point was that I'm not really concerned about my height, but I KNOW, and it PISSES YOU OFF ROYALLY, that I will get more female attention if I appear taller from wearing these. That's your problem. You know it will work. Like how wedding rings work, because you cannot admit the truth.

Thank you for demonstrating your lack of understanding what a hate crime is.

Also for the record, betamanlet, I would never date you, either; not because of your height, or your shoes, or whatever race or creed or religion you might or might not be, but because I have an extremely low opinion of your critical thinking skills as portrayed by your posts on this forum.

Why is it ok to be prejudiced against scientologists? Because society says so? That is called relinquishing judgement for the sake of being popular and jumping on the bandwagon, women are very guilty of this.

One read through the Old testament or the Talmud will show judaism as a barbaric, violent, genocidal, and even racist religion (compared to scientology's crime of simply being a silly cult), yet I doubt you would reject a man because he practices judaism. Why? Because American society says it's cool to be jewish, while it's not cool to be a scientologist.

Where do you get your "critical thinking skills"? By parroting what someone on TV says about something, rather than using your own two eyes and ears?

Ugh.

A hate crime requires someone to actually commit a crime. Simply not liking, supporting, or agreeing with a person based on their ethnicity, religious views, gender, sexual orientation etc., IS NOT A CRIME. Therefore, it cannot be a hate crime even if hate is involved.

So Stung can not date Tom Cruise based on the fact that he is a scientologist rather than his height without it being a crime, be it in the US or Canada. She can do this with or without hate. I figured that out by using critical thinking skills. ;)

Critical thinking is also is not something one's height prevents them from doing.......

In Canada you can actually go to jail and certainly get fined for saying you hate Muslims, jews, etc on the internet or in real life. You can also be put in prison and fined for questioning the holocaust. Disliking a group of people or questioning a historical event shouldn't be a crime, but it is in some parts of the "Free world".

And after all that fluff, you have missed the point completely. Nobody is saying it's a crime to not date him. However, Stung does indeed keep up with what bandwagon is rolling through this month, and bases her opinions on what other people tell her.

Funny you have condescending, loud and arrogant aura in your posts towards us, I guess the saying "emptiest barrels ring the loudest" .

No, but one's lack of testosterone might :lmao:

So would you date a 5'5-5'6 guy?

It's all about confidence and less about height. I dated the most confident 5'5" guy; he was also the best dancer, kisser and a jerk; he dumped me because I wasn't a size zero :lmao:. He was very picky about the women he dated, and he always dated cute girls.

I had another friend, very short, but because he was also a good dancer; he had his pick of girls whenever we went out.

I have two brothers; One is 6'' tall, the other 5'6", and the short one is a male Samantha Jones (male slut):o. He dates all types all girls, mostly beautiful women, some local models, but he is very secure and confident; not once have I heard him talk about his height as a shortcoming. My other brother is very insecured, and even though he is cute and tall he is not popular, like the other guy. He once told me he wished he had half the confidence of my other brother, so he could approach women.

Be confident with yourself; women are more attracted to confident men than tall insecure men.

Well, for me it is because 20 years ago, I was married into THAT branch of the Hubbard clan; L. Ron was my husband's great-uncle (my father-in-law's direct uncle) and the stories that I heard around the Thanksgiving table about Uncle L. Ron and why he did what he did, including the sex cult orgy shenanigans between him and Jack Parsons -- who helped build the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena -- were jaw-droppingly astounding.

I know way too much about L. Ron and the whole Hubbard family...

Find me a post of yours that doesn't blame or hate on women for something and then we might talk about the aura of typed words. Since I don't think you can do this, I feel your perceptions of my posts are a symptom of your own prejudice. I can't be bothered with that.

I think you just committed a hate crime. :lmao:

IF you can go to jail in Canada for the examples you've listed, they are no longer a free country. And because they are examples YOU'VE given, I have no reason to think they are based on fact.

Yes, that last line was condescending so don't trouble your little head about pointing it out.

Probably because scientology was created 50 years ago by a science fiction writer

Judaism, Christianity and Islam were also created by science fiction writers, albeit much earlier.

This thread amazes me. It goes from buying shoes to get rid of an obsessive insecurity over height to religion. With some women bashing in between. Not to mention OP admitted he started the whole height thing as a joke to get all involved riled up. I'm shocked it is still going.

Enough of this roller coaster ride of off topic posts. I've actually never seen anything quite like this. Thanks for participating and congratulations to those who actually addressed the original topic. This is so bizarre since the original post called for no comments whatsoever...yet there are 278 replies???????? Thread closed.
