betamanlet
that are supposed to make me 3.2" taller. According to that, I should stand over 6'1. I'll let you know if there's any greater female interest in me.

I'll let you know if there's any greater female interest in me. they will just want to know why you are wearing shoes that have lifts in them. Yes.. they can tell... it's called proportion. In the end you still are not 6'1".. you are 5'9.5" and wear shoes with lifts... I think you need to learn how to accept yourself for who you are and stop worrying about what other people think. They look like these Kenneth Cole shoes I've had before, which tend to be lifting types, and nobody ever said anything.

I was always able to tell when people wore those platform shoes when I was a teenager.. in the early 70's

Ross PK
It'll be interesting to see if there is any greater female interest. I used to wear Caterpillar boots which made me look quite taller, it pretty good. But now I just prefer wearing trainers.
carhill
I always feel more manly in my leather work boots.....steel toes and shank, 1/2" thick sole; one inch heel. Makes me over 6'. Ready for action My stbx, at 5'1", never really noticed.
Ross PK
In my last post I ment, 'it felt pretty good'. I think you need to learn how to accept yourself for who you are and stop worrying about what other people think. How's it any different from getting a nice haircut, or buying a nice top to wear? carhill
Gender-specific role definitions.... Also, when a woman says she likes tall men, that merely means she likes looking at them until the right man for her comes along, and then she'll forget all about what tallness (and other preferences) mean or signify, IME. alphamale
i think i'll get me a penile extension that will take me well beyond 9 inches. i'll let you guys know how it works out soon as i get a female to try it out on
thatguy85
Dude just be who you are and wear some real shoes. That's like picking up a chick from a bar, taking her home, popping off her shirt and seeing a D cup bra, with B cup boobs stuffed with tissues (or whatever girls stuff their bra's with). The B cup is perfectly fine, don't make yourself look like a fool when she finds out you aren't even close to 6'1. Edit: or maybe I'm just insensitive because i'm 6'5 in shoes. Enema
How is 5'9" a manlet.
sedgwick
No offense, but if I found out a guy was wearing lifts I'd just think he was insecure and vain. I'd way rather be with a 5'9" guy who's comfortable with himself! Honestly, I don't give a damn about height. I've dated guys who were my height (5'7") and who were much taller (6'4".) I never gave a single thought to their height. It was all about the person!

LOL what a dumb double standard. Do you tell this to women who wear heels, makeup, pushup bras, ETC ETC ETC ETC ETC? Women don't care about proportion or anything else as long as you are over 6 feet tall. Generally speaking, shorter (in shape) people are better proportioned than the average tall person, this doesn't mean anything to women. For many women however 6'1 may not be enough. As the average height goes higher and higher women are going to start demanding a man be taller than her in circus stilts. Many things are irrelevant if you are over 6 feet tall. I guarantee the OP will notice a marked difference in the attention women give him. Who cares if it's not for the "real him", the women who won't be able to accept his real height are superficial trash (and he'll be able to hump and dump them) and the women who initially wouldn't have given him a chance but got to know his personality because of his height will stay, it's win win. But, I basically think he's just doing it for a test to see if he get's more interest from women. Edited November 11, 2009 by Ross PK

Women wear high heels on dates because it is sexy.. how is some guy wearing lifts to look taller sexy ? Supposedly the woman won't even know he is wearing them.. you can see a woman's heels becuase she will wear a skirt as well.. No double standard.. Women don't wear heels because they lack in height.. While they may wear push-up bras it still goes to making the guy have an erection.. Is some woman supposed to get all wet because some guy wears lifts ? I'll have to tell my wife that my 5'9" body isn't good enough for her or any of the women I've dated in my life.. Women do care about proportion.. how dumb will it look when the guy trips up the stairs becuase he can't walk.. She will be able to tell that something isn't right... cognac
Women wear high heels on dates because it is sexy.. how is some guy wearing lifts to look taller sexy ?
Men being tall isn't sexy to women?! ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?!?! It is probably the sexiest physical trait of all according to the majority of women. Supposedly the woman won't even know he is wearing them.. you can see a woman's heels becuase she will wear a skirt as well..
If wearing them wouldn't make the OP a social outcast and the butt of all jokes, I'm sure men would wear them out in the open as well. Women don't wear heels because they lack in height..
That is because men generally do not care about height at . While they may wear push-up bras it still goes to making the guy have an erection..
Seeing a tall guy DEFINITELY makes a woman aroused. Don't know where you live that you haven't noticed it in big bold ways. Is some woman supposed to get all wet because some guy wears lifts ?
YES I'll have to tell my wife that my 5'9" body isn't good enough for her or any of the women I've dated in my life..
Nobody said a 5'9 guy can't get a date, especially if you're muscular. 5'9 (in some cases 5'8) is probably the minimum women will date in terms of height. But I can bet if you were over 6 feet tall you would have lost your virginity earlier, have had many times more dates in your life, and probably a better looking wife. Women do care about proportion.. how dumb will it look when the guy trips up the stairs becuase he can't walk.. She will be able to tell that something isn't right... He's going to wear 3 inch heels, not kiss shoes. I've worn them before and after you get used to them it is like walking without lifts.
AD1980
Not a terrible idea..If some women say they feel uncomfortable being the same height or taller then a man in 3 or 4 inch hells why not wear lifts so the girls doesnt fel so self conscious??
Sam Spade
Instead of guys being 'ashamed' that they are only () 5'7" tall, it is the women of this height that should be ashamed - what freaks of nature:laugh:, the hormones in the milk are unforgiving . Petite girls is where it's at:love:.

Sam Spade
The most burning question however is, what will happen to the OPs perfectly tailored pants with no break (assuming that he has a pair), once 3" lifts are introduced into the equation. He'd be showing more ankle than even hard core Ivy style would approve of.
