Lakeside_runner Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 So here's a question to ladies on this forum. Imagine this: You're on your second/third date with a guy. At some point at the end of the date, but not really at the door, he tells you (with a confident voice!) that there is something about you (something particular that has to do with your character and with you being you) that he finds fascinating, enchanting and dazzling and while telling you this he essentially comes closer and goes for a kiss (first kiss). Would you say it is: a) Creepy! and run away or dial 911 b) cheesy c) actually nice (and not to soon... - he's not proclaiming eternal love, he just says that he finds you very interesting...) I'm just tired of these awkward situations where people don't say anything and want to make this situation somewhat special...
BG1985 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I would feel pretty cheesy if I had said that to a girl.
crazy_grl Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I think it would be great, as long as the date had went well and it seemed natural. I'm assuming you're male and asking because you intend to do that. If so, make sure the girl seems interested in you before doing it. If she likes you, it's romantic. If she doesn't, it's creepy.
Author Lakeside_runner Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 I would feel pretty cheesy if I had said that to a girl. It all depends how you say it... You can make it sound really cheesy but you can also make it sound just normal...
BG1985 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 To me it sounds like it would come straight out of a movie. Just sounds a little too contrived.
BCCA Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 If she likes you, it's romantic. If she doesn't, it's creepy. This is true. The difference between creepy/sweet generally depends on the girl's interest level. Me? Id skip all that 'lovey dovey' talk and just go for the kiss.
Author Lakeside_runner Posted November 7, 2009 Author Posted November 7, 2009 As I said before - it all depends on how you say it.

hopesndreams Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I'll have to go with cheesy. Just go for the kiss, no words needed.
DanielMadr Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I'll have to go with cheesy. Just go for the kiss, no words needed. She is right I guess. When I started to talk it just got more complicated and ackward. These times I bite my tongue and grope....works pretty fine. If she moves aside...too bad....pat her azz, say never mind and good night and go home.
jw90063 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Maybe a little too forward for the second or third date. Not sure. I think it also may depend on how much time you actually spent together in those first few dates or so, and the connection between the two.
JustLooking123 Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 Cheesy. Sounds like a line from a movie. Dial it down like 8 notches, or just don't say anything at all.
SoulSearch_CO Posted November 7, 2009 Posted November 7, 2009 I agree that if she's into you, she'll think it's romantic. If she's lukewarm or even cold towards you, she'll think you're a weirdo. Better hope she's into you, dude.
