Or is it a bunch of BS? I've been told many times by many people that one of the reasons I can't find someone is because I spend all my time looking for someone and wanting desperately to be in a relationship. But at the same time, what if I DO just stop looking for love, and it never finds me because I didn't put myself out there?

Not looking and not putting yourself out there are not the same thing.

You should go out and have fun with your friends for the sake of having a good time. Dont go out expecting to meet your future wife. If you dont meet any girls, so be it, go out expecting to kick it with your buddies and have some laughs.

Just dont try so hard to meet a girl that the rest of life passes you by.

Put yourself out there, but don't expect to find love just because you've put yourself out there.

Also desperation is not attractive so don't act it.

1. Not if you hide from it.

2. Desperation reeks.

Find a happy medium, and try to get comfortable.

You need to take it easy and stop being preoccupied with trying to find a relationship. That doesn't mean you shouldn't be putting yourself out there.

Its BS told by people who dont want to advise you on how to date or find a date. That is said to get you off their backs, or to prevent you from asking them anything. They also dont want to help you get a date by the same social circle that they did...people suck.

You still have to reach out and get it, but don't consider yourself a failure if you didn't meet the future Mrs. Malificentdude on a particular night. Just go out and have fun, the rest will work itself out.
