But I am not sure if interracial marriage can be accepted by my friends and family. What do you think about interracial dating and marriage? Please go to the site to post your comments. stepka Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 Well, if anyone can find anything morally wrong with dating someone from another race, I'd consider their pov, but I don't think they can. As long as we can make babies w/ each other, and those babies can grow up and have more babies, we're still the same species, which is good enough for me. I am attracted to black men, hispanic men, indian men, and white men--the world is my oyster!

I don't see what the problem is. when you have kids, your kids look like you and your partner, to assume they won't look like you because they'll have a different skin color is ignorant and frankly bigoted. that logic is putting far more emphasis on race than the individual. When you have kids, your kids will look like you and your partner. End of story.
Stung Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 I think you should take your own advice and study some genetics.... The fact of the matter is that recessives do NOT abound. If that was the case, there would be no shortage of ivory skinned, blued-eyed, blond haired African Americans (as most African Americans are ethnically mixed and have up to 40% Caucasian admixture). Yet, the only white African American I'm aware of is Michael Jackson. So please cut the BS. I have studied genetics, which is why I have noticed that you do not appear to be aware of how recessive genes work. Also, Michael Jackson suffered from vitiligo, not from being Caucasian. Talk about your glib mudslinging debate tactics. And it is also my considered opinion that you are unlikely to be personally 'aware' of every ethnically mixed person in the world. Nice try though.
