Kaizen Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 How do you answer a text message like this? "I was thinking of you this morning (as I do often) because _____ today. Anyway, all to say that I owe you a huge apology for everything. I'm really sorry and I miss you terribly but I have so very little time. I'm sure you understand and I know its not an excuse. So I hope you're well and know that I'm thinking of you." I really like this girl but she is so spoiled! All I was thinking is "If you miss me so much, why are you not calling me or doing something about it?" I organized sth very special for her bday and I didn't even get a phone call for mine. She apologized profusely later when she realized and said she would make it up to me. It has been a month since she canceled the time she was suppose to do that due to personal stuff. That time I basically told her "I understand. No problem. Call me when you are free." All my friends tell me to just forget about her since she is just looking for attention. If she really wanted to have something to do with me she would put actual effort. In the txt above she doesn't even propose a new time... Thing is that she is indeed busy in law school but I know she makes time for her friends once in a while. Any advice?
BCCA Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Your friends are right. Yup. Sorry dude, shes not interested.
sunrae Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Let her go, she's just yanking your chain. When a person cares about you and wants to see you, they will make time for you and hold to their promises...
DustySaltus Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 "Personal Stuff" = Some dude or little interest "I'm really sorry and I miss you terribly but I have so very little time" = Please let me keep you on the backburner a little while longer because I want to feel better about myself. Your friends are right. They got back to you pretty quickly on this, didn't they?
