novack Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 Quick summary: Dated for almost 2 years starting at the 1/2 way point in undergrad univ. until the beg of this school year... She broke up with me claiming to need time for herself, freaked out pushed her farther away. Have not made contact for 25 days today (2 months out of break up). Our relationship was amazing while it lasted but they way she ended it was ****ed as could. OKAY! So i live pretty close to the girl, and i was walking past her place (really excited about the night/not thinking about her) She comes out just ahead of my friends and I. I literally go into shock, empty stomach, nervousness and such... i wasn't sure if she could hear us but i think she might of, after a block we went diff way. I debated saying hi, but decided against it and keep with NC. My question is, i have been pretty good about this whole NC thing (even though its been practically hard, many overlapping friends and the proximity to my house), when will i not go into panic mode upon simply seeing her??? I knew she was going to be at the small bar that i wanted to go to on monday, and i thought i could go and not care..might not be the case... should i not go to a bar with my friends bc she will be therE?????

I too went into panic mode after accidentally meeting my ex. about 2.5 months ago. We spoke. I'd cracked. But now 6 months on...i am okay with it. If i see her again, i don't think i'll act like i did before. You'll get there too. ... should i not go to a bar with my friends bc she will be therE?????You should. Don't let your ex get in the way of your plans. If you do see her, you know what to do, right?

This is an excerpt from Eddie's post, so all credit goes to him: "If you can't bail, wave, smile, roll out (somethings are better left unsaid).
