jv032889 Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 I no longer find my ex attractive. Does this mean I'm finally getting over her? When she walks into the room I can only think to myself "I really dated her." I've started to invision myself with someone else. Someone who can love me better than she did. Has this happened to anyone else?
TaraMaiden Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 It might well be a coping mechanism, but it's been effective... Or maybe you never really loved her at all, and were just infatuated, and more in love with the idea of being in love. Either way, it's not a bad thing..... Let it go, and enjoy life. Sometimes we can over analyse, when the best thing would actually be to say "well, there you go, now isn't that a funny thing.....", shrug, and move on.
Odyssey Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Thinking i deserve better and i'm dating now, so...yeah i know the feeling. Smiling and laughing again, instead of faking it. It's great. Such a relief, right? JV, it's definitely a good sign that you're moving on... it means you've taken her off that pedestal ...almost at the end of the tunnel i think. Just enjoy it.
