I lied about wanting them (still don't, that's how he met me) so he would just stop mentioning and hopefully forget about it..... then off course I keep posponing it..... Actually there was a point, I would have done it as more like sacrifice so he's happy. But no, not if I'm really unwillingly within me... I would have probably resent him for it. How you show affection and enough love to a kid you never want but only did it for him/her?? That would have suck... Now he's into adopting if I still don't want..... I get the idea of most women wanting kids due to basic instinct and all those emotions/tender feelings.... while some guys at in 20's aren't even thinking about it.. To the men, what can be the main reasons....
aerogurl87 Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 I know my boyfriend doesn't want kids because he's too selfish like me to want to wake up at 3am to change a diaper, also he's afraid of having a child who will end up like him when he was a kid (another reason I don't want children either). I said this before on another thread, some people make good spouses and not good parents. Some people are also very aware of this and therefore choose to not have kids and I think that's a pretty smart thing to do.

Then I imagine as the kid starts growing, off course he/she is going to want love, secure and affection. While I will still love the kid, inside me I would be like ''Only if you knew I did it only for your father would shut up with it already''....

phineas Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 To be honest I wasn't sure if I wanted kids or not. But I knew if I married my soon to be ex wife we were having kids. It was a big change. But i'm glad I did it.

I don't want kids, so I don't know how accurate I am here. But, I think for men, children are about competition.
