Death is certain, getting older is certain (except for early death). Theoretically you want to be with someone for as long as possible and still keep the attraction. It's kind of like why you would want to date someone educated. They have a higher chance of making more money, and you want to have financial security when you're raising a family. Yes there are people who aren't educated and are still smart or make a lot of money but in general being educated is necessary to make more money.

Alright it's far from flawless logic but you get the picture. I do try to approach weight gain sensitively though. It can happen for a whole variety of reasons but it can be helped.

All I am saying is you should date who you are drawn to now, and unless she lives an unhealthy lifestyle, it's ridiculous to wonder if she's going to get fat later, if she's not fat now. :)

I'm curious. Are you saying that it shouldn't matter whether she gets fat or not, or that there's no way of knowing so we might as well not think about it?

The latter.

Also, there's a difference between having a slightly "matronly" figure at 50 and being obese at 50. A big difference. Most women gain at least a little bit of weight in old age. Even Catherine Deneuve chose her face over her figure and permitted herself to get a little softer, rather than overdieting, and I think she looks perfect.

Well is it false? Obesity rates in Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan are miniscule compared to the United States. So to say that IN GENERAL Asians are thinner isn't fetishism. In specific cases, it differs from person to person of course.

Obesity rates in Europe are also minuscule compared to North America. People here are fat because they eat sh*t and don't exercise, not because they have a "fat gene". Incidentally, I live in a condo building that is predominately chinese and fat asian chicks are not exactly a rare sight here.

I didn't say anything about a fat gene.

The ehy are you comparing obesity rates in Asia with obesity rates in North America? You should be comparing obesity rates of asian women living in North America to those of non-asian women.

Why not?

What's your point? I was talking in the most broadest general sense. It's entirely our fast food culture that has lead us to such a high obesity rate. But Europeans and Asians still manage to be thin and are still developed nations. Ergo, it's better to date someone from a European or Asian culture if you want someone who can keep their figure.

The point is that your Asian woman stands as much of a chance of becoming a fat cow as any other woman living in North America. If you want to be certain that your woman doesn't get fat with age, you need to move to another country.

lol. She was raised in Taiwan and has good eating habits. She cooks healthy food and walks around a lot. Being raised with good habits is more important than what country you're living in.

Well, like I said, I see lots of fat Asian women around here....they eat greasy, fried chinese take out food which is really no better for you than McDonald's.

Yeah, American Chinese food is different from Chinese food. My gf was (and still is) pretty unfamiliar with the food you get at Chinese take-outs here.

Who said asian girls are skinny? Most got some boooootie :lmao::love:

That said, for whatever reason, even the ones who have lived in the US forever don't get nearly as fat as the homegrown variety.

You know what they say, if you want to know what a girl's going to look like when she's older, look at her mom. That accounts for genes and culture!

Now that I think about it... it's not as funny when someone Japanese makes a joke about China. Sorta like a German telling a Jew joke.

I'm an asian guy and for the record the majority of times I've noticed an asian girl going out with a caucasian male, he has likely been the nerdy type. It's been confirmed with my friend's sister who's asian and also my former roommate who was a caucasian male who only dated asian girls. IME, it's just what I've been noticing.

You guys also know what state has the highest white male/asian female ratio? California. Go there Vertex and you will succeed. Everyone has personal preferences when it comes to the opposite sex. I think when it comes to the asian fetish, it's been blown out of proportion because of the growing surge of populous that has been leaning towards this trend. If you're attracted to someone, then so be it - I don't think it should be called a fetish.
