That's my personal opinion, I believe we should only date people similar to us, this is where the best compatible in culture, genetics, etc is found. I think Asian men and Black women would agree with me People similiar to us? What like, other people! People are all the same! Unless there is a new species of human I've not heard about yet !

To the OP. I think you are on the safe side of the fine line of fetishizing. I, at 42 have three PHYSICAL preferences of which at least two must be met or I simply will not find myself physically, chemically attracted. Of course, we then need to groove on all of the compatibility issues. I do not see your case much differently. As far as the white/african blood debate :laugh:

It's not really a big deal to me if you're mature about it and open minded. That said, there can be some cultural barriers to overcome if she is foreign, so that's one thing to keep in mind I guess.

You sound like a bad James Bond villain. It's no surprise women are "gaining momentum" - when you've been oppressed for all of human history, there's nowhere to go but up. In the end, self-selection will ensure gender imbalances in some professions, in others it'll end up about 50/50. FWIW, the long-overdue rise of women is a major contributor to the US's continued economic dominance, and is a good thing for all of humanity. No East-Side/West-Side bull**** needed.

I've even met a couple of white men who were particularly bummed out when I didn't have an "Asian" accent. Eh, OP, I don't think it makes a difference. You probably find the physical features and cultural stereotypes attractive, and I'm sure a good majority of us have been there. Like a bunch of people have already said, it's preference. In my opinion, I have no problem with men saying that they prefer Asian women, because I prefer white men. I also have no problem with Asian men saying they prefer white women, black men who prefer white women, and white men who prefer latinas. Even if I happen to like them, those are the breaks. And FYI, there are still a lot of Asian girls who absolutely LOVE Asian guys. Usually haole women would probably be more offended at this supposed "Asian" fetish, but I do have to say that from personal experience, white men wanting other white women seem to be the majority. In fact, at my old job, there were a plethora of white males (mostly army/navy and tourists) who loved (specifically) bigger white women. You know what? It was a physical preference and a similar background. Think of yours as the opposite. A physical preference and an opposite background. As a mostly Asian woman, I do not see anything offensive in your preference. My own boyfriend (Half white, half asian) will apparently only date Asian, part Asian, or if none available, Latinas. I just roll my eyes and mutter something about the "Elecktra" syndrome (Freud).

Most economists agree that women working is often a huge drain on our economy. A good example is physicians. Female physicians work 20% fewer hours than male physicians and retire earlier... yet it takes the same amount of time and money to train them.

As far as I know, his parents are okay with it. I have dated 3 Asians, and I am white/latina, but I look white mostly. I don't think its bad to have a type, I too have a thing for Asians.

The most interesting thing I've ever heard was from a conversation with a black guy at a bar. He said something like, "I know you're either Japanese or Korean, I just can't put my finger on it" and I laughed and said either one would be correct. Then he said, "No, they're both different cultures. I try to be sensitive about cultures different than mine." He laughed. "It's just white people assume you all say 'Konnichiwa' and wear kimonos." Although he was just joking, it's interesting to note. Out of all the people that I have met in my life, black people and Koreans have been the best at guessing what ethnicities I am. Weird. OP, I'm assuming you are just as enthusiastic about the culture as you are the physical look. Appreciation isn't always creepy.

Part of it is geographical though In my part of Illinois most of the East Asians are Chinese, because they have an esablished stronghold here. Theres also a lot of northern Indians In other parts of the country and even the state it is different, but I think it would be understandable for someone to mistake an Asian for Chinese because thats the principal ethnic group I see the same thing with Hispanics. I'm Cuban on my mother's side and I look Cuban more or less, but people here would never guess it because almost all the Hispanics are Amerindian Mexicans Occasionally you would see a Puerto Rican, but not very much. When I visit Dade County in Florida though people know Im Cuban right away

Not to say I wouldn't date someone of another race, but I just prefer white guys for some reason. Nothing wrong with that since you said it's just a preference and not a must. It'd be creepy if you came across a woman of another race who had all the qualities you were looking for in a woman and great chemistry with, but you chose an Asian woman whom you had no chemistry with and who had almost none of the qualities you wanted in a woman, over the previous lady. Then you might have a problem. Sorry for the OT but aero when you said that you were pulled over twice for suspected underage driving when you were 18-19 the first thing I thought of was DWB or the cops just wanted to pull a cute girl over. I'm sorry but that **** if ****ed up and I don't know what else to say about it. Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
