JoJola Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 Can any of you men out there explain something to me that I find very puzzling...I will use my current example but this is not the first time I have dealt with this....I have been dating a guy for 5 months..I own my own home and have home repairs that need to be done..I mention to my current guy that I have a guy(contractor) stopping by to give me an estimate..now my guy pipes up to say he can do that ...blah, blah, blah, and has all the stuff..blah, blah, blah, and he will let me know if he can do it...but I know he will never do it because we had this instance a while back and the project is still open because he could not find time to help me out...why bother with the crap..or do u men just not like other men doing work for us even if we are only hiring them!
SoulSearch_CO Posted October 31, 2009 Posted October 31, 2009 LOL...sounds to me like your guy doesn't like the idea of "his woman" getting help from some other able-bodied guy. Like a blow to his masculinity, or something. Not like he's thinking you're interested in another guy...just that you're taking away his "man job" and giving it to someone else. I swear I remember this Home Improvement episode. I guess next time, just ask his opinion, at least. When he whines that he doesn't know if he has the time or if he can do it, then you can make it his idea to hire somebody. It's a game...but he's playing one by getting huffy about you hiring somebody.
