Luna Tears Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 My boyfriend and I have been together for four and a half years. Lately we have discussed marriage, mainly discussing about a few school friends on facebook who have just married. Anyways, recently he has talked to me about moving in together. Because we virtually live with each other during the week and I return home on weekends. Since it is Christmas time I asked what he wanted for Christmas and he mainly said underpants. I asked what he was going to get me and he said "I have thought of it and it is something that will benefit you for the rest of your life." My mind went stright to engagement ring. Here is where I started to think that perhaps it's not an engagement ring but something that will help with my posture or my weight. I will be happy with whatever he gives me although my mind recently went back to engagement ring. Recently he put on one of my rings on his small finger which fitted him and when I asked him if he wanted to spend christmas day with my family. He thought for a second and nodded saying yes it would be good. I'm getting butterfilies thinking it's an engagment ring/or a piece of jewellery. Should I not give my hopes up?
Malenfant Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Its tricky to say for definate what his plans are. Obviously you're hoping for a ring and that makes it 'pop' up in your mind. I would say the measuring thing with your ring on his finger could be seen as a good sign. all you can do is hope i'm afraid, but yes, i do think there is a chance.
boogieboy Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Dont get your hopes up, you dont want to resent him if its not a ring, and its not fair to him.
Author Luna Tears Posted October 31, 2009 Author Posted October 31, 2009 Boogieboy, I don't mind what he gets me, it's just the way he is speaking and acting makes me think that yes he might propose to me. If it isn't a ring I am going to be happy with what ever he gets me. As long as it's not a pixel chix.

Well with his actions I can see how it would not be hard to get your hopes up since he's insinuating that he's probably getting you jewelry and possibly an engagement ring. Just wait things out and see what he gets you. By the way love the avi. :D:D I was more of a Sailor Saturn fan myself though.

Never can tell for sure. Don't have expectations and you won't be let down. Just look back on the commitment that you've had with him the past 4 years, and the fact that he wants to spend Christmas with you and your family. I'd say that's more than enough reason to love the man.
