neveragain2493 Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 I recently got into a relationship with a guy I liked a whole lot. Last night, we got a little sexual (but didn't have sex). Later, he was freaking out, saying that I could get pregnant and that he had his whole life ahead of him. I explained I was on the Pill, but he got scared. He started saying maybe we weren't right for each other and that he needed to think about it. Today, he tells me he's sorry, but he can't have a girlfriend right now. He called and said that he couldn't really be himself around me, but he really did like me. He told me he wanted more time with his friends and probably didn't have time for a girlfriend. He said he honestly couldn't handle one. We agreed we'd be friends. We planned on going somewhere together Halloween before we broke up. He texted me a bit after we got off the phone and asked me if I would still like to go. I'm confused. I said I'd go if he wanted, and he said vice versa.
LovelyDaze Posted October 30, 2009 Posted October 30, 2009 Sounds like my ex. He STILL wants me to travel with him on a trip to Florida WITHOUT his current girlfriend! Sounds awful? So does yours. Don't fall for this. There hasn't been enough time for him to really appreciate you and miss you. He probably just wants another "go" at the sexual thing just like my ex. We are considered "emergency girlfriends" in case they don't find someone else they like better. It is beyond hurtful. But you will be in less pain if you just cut him loose and that means NC. It is the absolute hardest thing we will do....letting the person you want to be with go. But it is a must.
