Atheism vs. Theism

Recommended Posts

The fact that there is even a discussion about the existence of a god or gods is a strong indicator that there isn't one.

Believers claim that they have faith, and that their faith allows them to commune with, or understand the nature of god.

This cannot be so, as "faith" leads people to so many different conclusions--usually at the exclusion of the others. Every religion rejects all the others, usually with rational, thoughtful examination of the other's beliefs. But then when examining their own, all reason is out the window.

How is that some can pray and receive the revelation the the Book of Mormon is real, while others do the same and get the opposite answer?

It is clear that all religions cannot be right. However, all religions/assertions about god can be wrong.

It doesn't even matter what he was. I find it so ridiculous and petty the way both sides try to claim great individuals as their own while denying association with monsters.

At least nobody has mentioned Hitler yet.

Cheers,

D.

They both like to distance themselves from Hitler, despite both having touted him as a visionary at one point. Funny, that.
