betamanlet Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 financially irresponsible history of being with abusive guys
Lakeside_runner Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 overly outgoing... like really overly outgoing...
amirpc Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 overly outgoing... like really overly outgoing... Along the same lines: Has a facebook, myspace, orkut, twitter, live journal, linked in, and keeps them all up to the minute accurate.
Sith Apprentice Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 She has a SitOnMyFace page. Tons of guys friends, but no female friends.
Isolde Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Lives alone, with cats. What do you guys on this board have against pets?
Awesome Username Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 AWESOME thread! Likes animals more than people Pulls out his calculator for anything Born again anything Abusive porn Doesn't discuss or care about contraceptives Hangs out at protests regularly Obsessed with swords
Sith Apprentice Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 What do you guys on this board have against pets? I think a single person with 3 or more cats/dogs is a red flag. People often use pets as surrogates to having real friends.
Lostgurl Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 dismisses your feelings. Has a short temper professes that he/she likes hitler is racist doesn't like people and/or or your friends and family.:rolleyes:
aerogurl87 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Red flags for me are: 1) doesn't respect any women in his family 2) overly religious (just doesn't work for me) 3) over achiever in that annoying I can do anything better than anyone else in the world kind of way 4) a World of Warcraft, Second Life, or any online game addict 5) his mom pays his bills 6) my friends don't like him (I'm starting to notice that they usually have valid points that I seem to overlook) 7) snobby 8) thinks acting "gangsta" or "hood" is going to really get me to like him (because yeah I'm really going to respond to a guy who says "what up ma" to me in the mall) That's all I can think of for now
Sith Apprentice Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 dismisses your feelings. professes that he/she likes hitler :rolleyes: i once knew a chick that thought Timothy McVeigh was cute. No lie.
TheLoneSock Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 updates her myspace/facebook with every waking moment of her life is a prude is a virgin has never been in a serious relationship doesn't know what to say when I ask "What is the sweetest thing you've ever done for a guy?" doesn't like being sweet talked (I'm a sweet talker) acts distant in any way has a kid already doesn't think my parents are some of the coolest people in the world (because they just are) can't handle me being away for 24 hour shifts at a time has a (G)ood (E)nough (D)iploma poor hygien doesn't like giving head or rough sex dislikes kids doesn't like to get dirty with me in my truck is not confident in or proud of herself Wow that's a lot of red flags haha, I could go on...
Lostgurl Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 i once knew a chick that thought Timothy McVeigh was cute. No lie. I guess she and my ex would be perfect for eachother. My ex is pretty much obsessed with everything negative and dark. He named his boxing character on Fight Night Joseph Mengele. Like my counsellor said, i need to put up serious boundaries, because i'm in no way like him but i continued to stay none the less.
amirpc Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 What do you guys on this board have against pets? Every girl I've ever dated who had more than 1 cat ended up having serious issues. Maybe there are some sane ladies out there with a house full of fur balls but my experience shows otherwise.

Maybe there are some sane ladies out there with a house full of fur balls but my experience shows otherwise. Cats don't like to be alone though, if you're at work a lot, it's better to get two cats so they can play with each other, otherwise they'll get bored and destroy your home.. I agree that if they have lots of pets, and are the type that like animals more than people, they treat people badly. i've experienced this from a woman who had 5 cats, birds, dogs, lizards, rats, cockroaches (as pets), and I was not treated well by her.
Author betamanlet Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 Haven't been single for more than 5 minutes since turned 16. recipe to get cheated on.

Wow... if a girl told me she had pet cockroaches and she was dead serious, I'd not only flee - I'd recommend she get help immediately. Yeah, I have two dogs for similar reasons - one would get bored. Still though, something in particular about cats....

Yeah, I have two dogs for similar reasons - one would get bored. Still though, something in particular about cats.... I think the reason lots of women like cats, is because once cats are adults, they are aloof. Dogs are needy. Women prefer men that are aloof to men that are needy.. Though there are plenty of women that love dogs and have dogs... The cockroachers were in an aquarium, and they would hiss. I told her I thought she was very weird.
homersheineken Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 has a (G)ood (E)nough (D)iploma Wow, that's pretty harsh. There are a lot of good reasons people get one of these...
honeypear Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 My all time favorite from a couple of years ago. I was chatting with a guy on facebook and he said he REALLY!! liked me. During one of our chats he made friends with Cherry Pie and Candy Floss. That is a red flag right there..I still find that funny to this day.
Sam Spade Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 Gives me a speech about how she's after earth-shattering, butterflies in the stomach, of the charts, knee melting love .
Author betamanlet Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 Gives me a speech about how she's after earth-shattering, butterflies in the stomach, of the charts, knee melting love . yeah good point, uses the term 'soulmate".
stace79 Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I think a single person with 3 or more cats/dogs is a red flag. People often use pets as surrogates to having real friends. I think this is a bad assumption to make. I have one dog and one cat, but am in the process of trying to buy a home. If I do, I would like to get at least one more dog. One, because my dog needs more activity than I'm getting him lately and a dog "friend" during the day while I work would be healthy for him. And two, because frankly my dog makes me a heckuva lot more happy than most people I know. Maybe some people just find joy in animals? I'd add this red flag to the list: anyone who thinks multiple pets is a turnoff.
