Well, I really don't think that he considers you "runner-up", no man would have this much angst about his second choice. I think his feelings are real, if misguided. I thought that you were having self -esteem issues, because of the "back-up comment, and thought you could use a little good-natured bolstering, hence my comment about compliments and your Avie. I hope you didn't take offense, none was intended.

D'aww, thank you Boldjack. No offense taken at all! :o

Just don't be too hard on the Guy, missing out on a fine Cajun woman is probably punishment enough.;):D G'night

I guess if I picture it as he's not angry with me specifically, it makes it easier to bear.

Still sucks. He's a great guy and a really good friend. He was just after this girl for a while, so to have it suddenly on me I guess is a bit of a surprise.

:bunny: blah. :bunny:

He definitely has feelings for you and potentially believes the possibility you might reciprocate some of those feelings with him.

Almost every girl I was friends with in college either fell for me or acted as if we were in a relationship.

I think it is the one-on-one attention that has him wanting more, there's something about your interactions that's he can't find in most women, it's different to him, he wants more of it...
